Phaea Blue, Elounda, Crete

The hotel is beautiful small intimate and staff cannot do enough for you. Food is excellent , service is exceptional accommodation is very nice. We had a deluxe Bungalow with sea view and heated pool was really nice apart from the noise from the building work from the hotel next door which is being renovated which was a shame as we had to Listen to cement Lorrie’s coming back and forth delivering cement and builders using angle grinders to cut pavements and walls and diggers clearing rubble as our room overlooked this. We went to the Beach we still couldnt escape the building works noise. But apart from that we had a nice time and would definately return we loved everything about the hotel

We have been to this hotel a number of times and it is always an exceptionally great experience in every way, led by the general manager Konstainos Rocos. The hotel is beautifully designed and situated and the service, facilities and ambiance are all first class. Every aspect of the experience - the welcome, the room, the dining, the facilities and the care and attention of the staff were all outstanding. We greatly enjoyed every aspect of our visit and are most grateful and will visit again.

Phaea Blue is an extremely well-run hotel with stunning views across the bay to Spinalonga from rooms with spacious balconies. We greatly enjoyed our grilled dinners in the Blue Door Taverna. Service was excellent throughout but, since the front office staff usually get the name checks, a particular thanks to Linda and Eleni who cleaned our room and were always so cheerful. It was a thoroughly relaxing holiday for two 80 year olds so many thanks. One word of caution: the hotel is cleverly constructed on a mountain running down to the sea. This means that there is some daily climbing of steps involved, though golf buggies driven by staff are readily on-call.

We had a week here in a pool room. It was spectacular from start to finish. The room was equipped with everything you need from toiletries to iron etc. fully stocked mini bar and tea and coffee. We found the facilities were great, the breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and the breakfast staff were so nice and very efficient. The gym is well equipped and wasn't busy on the 1 occasion I could be bothered to remove myself from a sunbed! Lunch at the Blue Door was a brilliant location right on the beach again food was so good. The beach was tranquil and easy access into the water for swimming. There are a few steps up to the main complex but you can be picked up by buggy at any point so wasn't and issue. A short walk into Plaka in the evenings had plenty of restaurants, all with great reviews. We would definitely return here mainly due to the staff they couldn't do enough to make our stay perfect.
