What was once a 16th-century colonial mansion is now the supremely luxurious Aranwa Cusco Boutique Hotel. A part of the LVX collection of Preferred Hotels & Resorts, the hotel is situated in the heart of the city. This sophisticated retreat is just steps from Plaza de Armas, Cusco's main square, and provides an authentic taste of local culture with its original paintings, sculptures and other fine art.

We liked staying at this hotel. I think for a 5 star hotel the rooms could have been a bit nicer. Our room in particular felt pretty small. The food was good and the service was excellent though. It was my husbands birthday during our trip and they surprised us with a cake for his special day! The common areas are very pretty as well. We noticed that the hotel was very quiet, especially at night.

Lovely room, service and employees. Everything we needed and great location with easy access to historical square & many restaurants. Enrique and Guido both were amazing and kind. Breakfast had everything you could want! Bed was very comfortable and linens and towels were high quality. Quiet location and room.

This review is based on a three night stay in a fascinating city. The hotel’s nightly rates are not cheap but the combination of a great location, excellent service, and a beautiful and mostly functional bathroom made this hotel a winner in our book. The hotel is located about two blocks from the main town square of Cusco, a large plaza surrounded by beautiful old churches and plenty of restaurants with great views of the plaza. It also functions as a gathering spot for celebrations, protests, parades, etc. if you wanted to explore Cusco by foot you probably want to be near this spot. The hotel combines historic elements with modern updating. The rooms are situated around a large central courtyard which includes inviting public spaces for relaxing or socializing, as well as a restaurant that serves a good breakfast buffet. The “deluxe” room that we received is a decent-sized room with a beautiful large bathroom with dual sinks, a large jetted tub, and a separate shower with two rain shower heads from the ceiling along with two shower heads coming from the side. The latter might sound luxurious but we had trouble finding a combination that worked to take a regular shower. The biggest issue we had with the room was that it had only one small window that looked out into the interior hallway that, in turn, led to the interior courtyard. The result was a room that felt a bit dark. We were busy touring most of the time so this turned out to be ok for us, but whenever we wanted to hang out at the hotel we chose one of the public spaces rather than our hotel room. (see photos) The breakfast included in our room rate was good with many choices (including made to order omelettes, eggs Benedict, etc) and excellent service. Service overall in the hotel was excellent , with bilingual staff. We also enjoyed being served an outstanding Pisco Sour cocktail as a complimentary welcome drink in the hotel's bar. (see photo)

The Aranwa Cusco combines modern convenience and comfort in a beautifully adapted historic property. We loved the hotel, which provided such comfort for our family during medical and travel challenges. The staff was accommodating, kind, calm. The rooms and bathrooms were sparkling clean and generous. The breakfast offerings were ample and delicious. The bar offered just what we needed -- a quiet, cozy retreat with refreshments at the end of a stressful day. Thank you! We hope to come again.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The rooms are roomy, comfortably, and well decorated. The staff from the front door, front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping are so friendly and helpful. We felt very well taken care of. We would definitely stay here again, and highly recommend to others to do the same.
