What a fantastic hotel. Partly built with ancient Incan stone walls, near the center the historic district, with outstanding staff and amenities. The hotel was consistently excellent in all elements we experienced. Our room was elegant and clean and the doors to the hallway and bathroom had excellent sound insulation. The restaurant served a breakfast buffet with an incredible variety of local and international foods. The restaurant also serves an elegant upscale dinner with lots of Peruvian cuisine options. The hotel is generously staffed, all of them helpful and efficient. Daniel from the concierge desk greeted us on arrival at the front door and stayed with us to guide us through the entire check-in process all the way to our room. When we had accidentally stopped up our sink, the hotel engineer and a cleaner arrived within 5 minutes and fixed the issue within 10 more minutes. The cleaning staff visited several times per day and did a thorough clean every time it was needed. We separately reviewed the hotel spa, but it was also great, as was the bar (which is separate from the restaurant). The concierge desk including Daniel, his colleague Emerson, and a big team of others, were very effective in arranging drivers and connecting us with English-speaking guides. They spent considerable time ensuring our itinerary was nailed down to our satisfaction. Also, the hotel allows an adorable baby alpaca to wander one of their courtyards as a mascot. We would eagerly stay at this hotel again and would recommend it to others without hesitation.

I can't say enough good things about this hotel: location, food, facility and most of all their staff. Our family of 3 generations (including a 2 & 4 yr old) were extraordinarily well taken care of by Daniel and his team of concierge staff. It is very well priced for the very comfortable and gracious rooms, care and location, and if you have an AmexPlat card go through Amex Travel for extra benefits. They even have a baby alpaca who spends the day in the courtyard. Check out their in-house spa too. My hot stone massage was fabulous and the facials that our daughter and son-in-law had got rave reviews. Truly, this old town historic hotel is the place. Look no further.

This hotel completely destroyed what should have been a pleasant experience. I booked 2 nights through Agoda/Expedia, and my reservation clearly stated that the booking was paid in full and that no additional payment was required. Imagine my shock when, at checkout, they suddenly presented me with an extra bill for almost $100 in so-called "facility fees." If these fees are mandatory, why weren't they included in the booking price? It feels deceptive and like a classic bait-and-switch. Travelers deserve honest pricing, not unpleasant surprises at the end of their vacation. The checkout experience left a terrible final impression. Instead of leaving with good memories, I left feeling misled and taken advantage of. I would never stay here again, and I strongly recommend that anyone considering this hotel read the fine print very carefully—or better yet, choose a hotel that is transparent about its pricing. Hidden charges have no place in the hospitality industry.
