This is the only hotel I choose to stay in Dalian during the past 10 years although holding the Titanium Card of other world brand hotel as well. Every time I stay at Dalian Shangrila, I always received warmly and particular cares by hotel staff with decade years of familiarity and friendships. as one of the longest operational hotel in Dalian, Shangrila always provides me with greetings of old friend and family as well the heart touching services you can expects from nowhere .

Our stay at this hotel was truly outstanding, thanks largely to the exceptional service provided by the staff across every aspect of operations. Their attention to detail was remarkable—they consistently anticipated our needs and ensured our comfort throughout our stay. The hotel’s location is perfect, offering convenience and accessibility without compromising on tranquility. Although the property was built in the late ’90s, it has been impressively maintained. Its timeless design, polished interiors, and refined atmosphere give it an air of elegance and class that many newer hotels struggle to match. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, spacious, and comfortable, providing a welcoming retreat after a day out. The on-site restaurants are also commendable, offering quality dishes and attentive service that complement the overall experience. In every way, this hotel delivers a memorable and highly satisfying stay. Highly recommended.

What a difference a year makes!! I stayed here back in April 2024. It was the first time I had stayed there since Covid. I'm a Diamond Member of the Shangri-La Circle and booked a Horizon Club room. The room was great. Very clean, well maintained, good water pressure in the shower, and decent wifi speeds. The Horizon Club was terrible. The girls working there were not friendly or helpful, especially during the evening Happy Hour, which made it more like an Unhappy Hour. Fast forward to May 2025, and it was like I was staying at a different hotel. Due to the poor service from my visit in April 2024, I had considered staying somewhere else but decided to give the Shangri-La Dalian another chance and I'm glad I did. The staff in the Horizon Club was SUPER friendly, helpful and constantly checking on guests to see if they needed anything. I am not sure what happened in the 12 months between my visits. I heard a rumor that a manager from the Shangri-La Surabaya (which has the best hospitality of ANY Shangri-La Hotel) had transferred there. I'm not sure if that's true, but something changed with how the staff is being trained and it was a HUGE improvement. I had dinner both nights of my stay at the Nishimura Japanese restaurant. The first night we enjoyed the teppanyaki grill and the 2nd night we got the chicken cutlet with curry and rice. Both meals were excellent and very satisfying. For me, the location of this hotel has always been great, but thanks to a new highway, its now even more convenient to the factory location that I need to visit. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Dalian and hopefully the new management stays in place and maintains the current level of hospitality.

Friendly and courteous are always displaying at Dalian Shangri-La, although new faces of service personnel, however standard are well above and beyond reflecting management keep an eye on performance and update professional standard, good job they’ve done.
