Shangri-La Hotel Dalian

the Shangri la is next to the Furama, across from the New World, around the block from the Novotel,and a short ride from the Hilton. Make sure you choose the Shangri La out of all of these. The Shangri La lives up to its name. The service is friendly, anticipating your needs, and being flexible in a way that meets the needs of international travelers. The rooms are really big and well outfitted. The tea and coffee are high quality, the toiletries bottles are all full, the towels are plush as you would expect in a five star hotel. All this is not exceptional for the brand but they carry it well even in a 2nd tier city, and at a great price. The hotel really shines in its facilities—the gym is excellent, spacious and with an excellent spread of equipment. There is an indoor (air conditioned!) tennis court, as well as an outdoor one. The hotel can book hitters for you, though beware It’s first world prices. My only complaint is that the indoor court is a bit dark, and the net was very low. But if it’s pouring outside, I’m sure I can overlook that. The indoor pool is 20 meters, with a lane for lap swimming, and kept at a comfortable temperature. The changing rooms have sauna, steam and jacuzzi. Everything is very clean I didn’t mind walking around in my bare feet. If I come back to Dalian, I’m staying here!

We had a very pleasant stay at Shangri-La Dalian during our recent trip. The location is excellent, with convenient access to transportation and many attractions nearby. The hotel is well maintained, and the room was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. What stood out most was the exceptional service from Lobby Manager Jennifer Ning. She was warm, professional, and genuinely caring throughout our stay. Her attentiveness and willingness to help made a real difference and left a lasting impression on us. Thank you to Jennifer and the entire team for the wonderful hospitality. We would happily stay here again on our next visit to Dalian.

The Shangri-La Dalian remains my top choice in the city. While it has had its ups and downs over the past decade and a half, the current atmosphere and the dedication of the staff are top-tier. A big thank you to the entire team for making every stay so memorable. I look forward to my next visit!

Amusing experience starting from arrival greeting to reception and housekeeping were exceptional, including check in, horizon club and chef team displaying professionalism. Leading by Jardan Wong and sales, Vivian Wang demonstrated seem less service that we appreciated.

During our stay at Shangri-La Dalian, every single detail—from the consistently warm, enthusiastic, and professional service delivered by the entire staff, to the high-quality and delicious cuisine served in the lounge, and down to the spotlessly clean guest rooms equipped with premium amenities—fully demonstrated the high-end service standards that a Shangri-La property is renowned for. This is truly a genuine Shangri-La experience in every sense of the word. We sincerely hope that the hotel will uphold this impeccable level of service for years to come, and continue to provide an extraordinary stay for every guest. Thank you very much!
