Luxury hotel in the heart of downtown Dallas

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

From the spacious and comfy rooms to the nightly turndown service, no detail was overlooked. I spent time in the gorgeous terrace pool and shopped for souvenirs in the giant gift shop on site. I splurged on breakfast in bed one morning with my curtains open to a Dallas skyline view. One of my absolute favorite parts of the entire visit, though, was visiting with Kalani in the Gold Lounge. Even though I was a solo traveler, she made me feel like I wasn’t here alone. From the Fairmont I was able to walk to many attractions.

Great stay overall, but a very concerning valet experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We stayed here from April 3rd to April 4th and had a mostly enjoyable visit, but one incident at arrival is worth calling out. While waiting to enter the valet area, a white vehicle sped past our car, missing us by just inches. The driver then struck the mirror of another parked car while attempting to avoid a collision. He proceeded to reverse and park in the hotel’s valet area. When I approached him, he responded dismissively and, in an arrogant tone, asked whether he had hit my car. When I asked to speak with a manager, he stated that he was the manager and claimed the situation had already been handled. There was no clear answer on whether the owner of the damaged vehicle would be notified. The overall attitude and lack of accountability were concerning—especially when you’re trusting valet staff with your car. To his credit, he offered to waive the valet charge, which I initially declined, but he insisted. That said, I want to highlight the excellent service we received elsewhere—especially from Chef Concierge Philip Powell. He was outstanding, incredibly kind, and went out of his way to make our kids feel welcome. He truly represents the level of hospitality you expect from a property like this. Overall, the hotel itself is great, but the valet experience left a lasting negative impression. I hope management takes a closer look at how guest vehicles are handled and how situations like this are addressed.

One of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The staff was incredible from booking to check-in through the stay. Room was great but people were better

No internet, loud freeway next to hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The Internet in my room did not work. I called downstairs and they gave me various tips, none of them worked. I asked for a quiet room and my room was facing the freeway. I was very frustrated and will never stay there again.
