Avoid!! So old, never remodeled (2026)
I usually don’t write reviews but I am shocked at the conditions of this hotel. It’s a Fairmont so thus an expectation of luxury standard but the rooms are so old that is hasn’t been remodeled in my guess 25-30 years. When I checked in I noticed the headboard was literally ripped apart. Again if this wasn’t a Fairmont and perhaps a 1-2 star hotel then fine, but wow. What’s going on with ownership. Of course they said they could move me the next night cause they were full but no hotel should be on such disarray. I couldn’t stay the 2 nights and just checked out after the 1st night. Avoid until they remodel.

The Broken Elevators Are Back for More!
This property seems to be in serious denial that they need to better maintain and repair their elevators. It happened in Feb 2026 and it’s happening again in Sept 2026. Front desk staff seems to not even know that there are issues when asked, in spite of a line 25 people deep waiting for the elevator. It is taking 25-30 min to catch an elevator (even though they’re allowing guests to use the service elevator), which is unacceptable.

Loved my solo stay in downtown Dallas
I had such a wonderfull solo stay at the Fairmont Dallas during my recent trip to Texas! The downtown location is absolutely unbeatable, putting you within easy reach of great sights, dining, and culture. I was also relieved to find a secure parking garage nearby that was surprisingly affordable for being right in the heart of the city. From the moment I checked in, the staff members were genuinely friendly and helpful, going out of their way to offer great local recommendations and make sure I was settled in comfortably. My room was immaculately clean, cozy, and provided an extremely perfect view of the skyline in the evening. Everything about this hotel exceeded my expectations, and the warm hospitality truly made my Dallas adventure special. I will definitely choose the Fairmont again on my next visit and highly recommend it to anyone traveling to Dallas!
