Fairmont Dallas

Good location just a few blocks from Main Street Great check in we arrived early no room available which is ok the young lad who checked us in gave us 2 free drinks from the bar which was fantastic Large room very dated great city view Large comfy bed Good shower Great fitness room Large outdoor pool shame its not heated

While we had a pleasant stay for 4 nights as a family of four during spring break, the Fairmont Dallas is showing its age and looking worn around the edges. Not what I was expecting from a Fairmont property, having stayed at several. However, all the staff we encountered, valet, front desk, bellhop, etc were exceptionally helpful. I will give this Fairmont credit for correcting an issue we had with our suite and moving us to another room; their handling of the situation was appreciated. The gold level lounge was excellent and perfect to grab coffee and a light breakfast before starting our day. However, if you're looking for a hotel with newer finishes and in better condition, there are probably better options downtown Dallas.

Lira is the best server. So amazing and genuine as her customer service goes over and beyond! Please make sure to ask for her when you go to the restaurant/bar!

I have stayed at the Fairmont multiple times over the years. This was certainly the low point. Only one of the three elevators in the South tower was working for much of our two night stay. If there are service elevators for housekeeping and room service, they must have been out of order also because we would stop on almost every floor for service staff trying to use the elevators also. The menu in the restaurant was pretentious and the service was lousy. It took three tries to get my sons simple meal order correct. There were not enough outlets in the room, which is unacceptable these days with the number of devices an average person may need to plug in.

Kalani and Janine have been fantastic during our stay. We can’t speak highly enough of both of them.
