My wife and I were here helping move our daughter. It's a good location, comfortable, and clean. The staff is friendly. But...., be aware that there will be an additional charge for parking if you are arriving in your own vehicle. Currently it is $44 per day plus applicable taxes. The other thing I was not happy with was the pornographic artwork above our bed. Not sure if this is found in all rooms or just room 624. Just saying, it isn't Texas and in my opinion it isn't tasteful.

Rooms are big, beds comfy, free parking, restaurant is great. Excellent service from the front desk. Classic Texas decor. Good location convenient to get to many places. Love this hotel, stayed here multiple times for business but would stay for pleasure as well.

Fantastic experience from check-in to check-out. First class service from the valet to the front desk. The rooms are very nice and the lobby is spacious (great place to have an informal meeting). You cannot beat the location. Quick access to everywhere you want to go.

Thank you Scott, Chantelle, Noe and Etienne for your amazing service and kindness. When the unexpected happens it’s great to have a team like you to provide help and support. Your quick thinking and fast response made all the difference. Sincere appreciation.

My wife and I travel to Dallas once or twice a year and always stay at the Highland but I am rethinking that as the quality decreases each time we visit. They used to have honor bars in the rooms- no more. The bath towels are like sandpaper. The coffee maker and the hair dryer are like the ones you would expect in a cheap roadside motel. We had a room with two queen beds and there was only one chair in the room. A redeeming attribute is a great restaurant and this is coming from someone who usually refuses to eat in hotel restaurants. The place needs some serious TLC and the rooms need updating.
