Always an exceptional experience. EVERY staff member is so kind and helpful. Breakfast is one of the best and the staff in Daisy are great and remember us from past visits. Greeted with a big smile and questions of recent travels. Like coming home to our neighborhood cafe.

I purchased 3 cabanas via Resort Pass under my Fiancé's account (contact info required for reservation) and hosted our joint bachelor and bachelorette party together at The Thompson Dallas. We also decided to book a room at the hotel for the evening given the amazing experience we have always had at The Thompson Chicago (only hotel we stay at). I am also a Hyatt Program member and have all my contact information in my account (address, phone number, email, etc.). We had about 17 total guests with us at the pool and majority of them valet their vehicles under their own names since they did not know our room number. When the event started, I told the waiter to put everything on my room. After the event my Fiancé and I signed for the tab and went out for the evening with our guests. As our guests came back to the hotel, they were allowed to pick up their cars and leave. It wasn’t until my sister came to grab her things and her vehicle that the staff began being hostel. I was not with her at this time. When she came to get her things a gentleman by the name of Bennett (would not give us his last name no matter how many times we asked) denied my sister from picking up her car because there was an outstanding balance from the pool. What is odd is none of the other guests had an issue. Not a single phone call, text, email or anything was sent to my Fiancé and I. We hadn’t checked out yet, they still had my vehicle, and I told them to put the charge on the room because I wanted to take advantage of the $100 credit given to me at check in (which I never got). Rather they decided to hold my sister’s things hostage? Her name wasn’t on the room. She didn’t check her car under my room number. Bennett proceeded to tell us it was because they saw her at the pool with the party and couldn’t let her leave until the balance was settled. There were 15 other people there, including 4 of them who are actually guests at your hotel. More importantly, I could have been contacted by the staff. They tried to tell me they didn’t have my phone number, which is a lie. It’s on my account and if it wasn’t on that account, then they had my Fiancé's number to call from the reservation at the pool from Resort Pass. If the latter wasn’t an option, they had my email on file. No need to be holding my guest hostage at your hotel for something they were never responsible for to begin with. The most frustrating part about it was that they held my sister and her girlfriend in the lobby for nearly an hour. Mind you, my sister is diabetic and needed to get her vehicle to address her situation. I can’t help but think Bennett, or whom ever was involved, single handedly picked out my gay sister and her black girlfriend to give such a hard time. It’s a shame that such a nice hotel has such poor standards. I will never stay at a Thompson Hotel again, and I will be spreading the videos we took of the unprofessional staff and how they treated us when we arrived to handle the situation via social media platforms and any other means to make the public aware. I’m sure it won’t be a great look for Bennett, The Thompson Dallas, The Thompson, and The Hyatt.

A wonderful location, historic building and white glove service all the way. Food is top tier. Front desk and valet were perfectly on target for best in class.

Great hotel in downtown Dallas- liked the very comfortable bed and opulent entrance and overall vibe of the hotel. Had breakfast in the Little Daisy which has a nice ambience and food. Pool is small but has some great views of downtown- overall a perfect stay!

Good in downtown but uptown uptown will be better for safety now given the situation of Dallas downtown. Rest was okay for me.
