Delightful End to Our Stay: InterContinental Danang Airport Lounge

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 18 hours ago

As a guest staying at the stunning InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, one of the standout perks was complimentary access to the resort’s exclusive airport lounge in the domestic terminal of Danang International Airport. This benefit truly extended our luxurious experience right up until departure. The lounge itself is beautiful, with decor that perfectly echoes the whimsical, elegant style of the resort—think sophisticated touches, comfortable seating, and a serene atmosphere that feels like a seamless continuation of our stay at the peninsula. The food was delicious, offering a tasty selection of light snacks and refreshments that hit the spot before our flight. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, making it a real highlight rather than just a standard airport wait. What truly elevated the visit was the outstanding staff and their excellent customer service. Airport Manager Hien oversees everything with professionalism, Hostess Na greeted us warmly and made us feel right at home, Waiter Linh was attentive and kind throughout, and Chef Son prepared dishes that were flavorful and impressive. Their genuine kindness and attention to detail turned what could have been a routine airport stop into a memorable, relaxing send-off. Overall, if you’re staying at the InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort and flying domestically, this lounge access is an absolute must-enjoy perk. It perfectly caps off a magical stay with comfort, great food, and top-tier hospitality. Highly recommended—5 stars!

Great place and Top service in my expectations and experiences

A truly memorable experience at InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort ✨ From the very moment I arrived, I could clearly feel the spirit of genuine hospitality and top-tier professionalism—not something formal or forced, but sincere, thoughtful, and perfectly timed. 🌿 Vy (Guest service Agent) at the Front Desk left a strong impression with her quick thinking, professionalism, and refined manner. Everything was explained clearly, her voice was gentle, and her attitude made guests feel truly welcomed and respected. 🌿 The Duty Manager was truly the “heart” of the experience—warm, attentive, and proactive, creating a sense of comfort and reassurance right from the start. A perfect embodiment of high-end hospitality. 🌿 Tien, the bellman, was exceptionally efficient and professional. Beyond assisting with luggage, he provided a very detailed introduction to the resort’s facilities and services, helping guests fully understand and enjoy the space. 🌿 A lovely highlight was Thang, who enthusiastically helped take photos for guests with a great artistic eye—beautiful angles, thoughtful composition, and a real sense of emotion. It wasn’t just about taking pictures, but about capturing memories. 💛 At InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, I experienced not only luxury service, but also the heart and sincerity of the people behind it. These thoughtful details come together to create a refined, warm, and unforgettable stay. A place where guests are not just served, but truly valued. Highly recommended. 🌊🌿

Will be back!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Just got back from a weeklong stay in Da Nang where my girlfriend and I stayed at the Hyatt Regency, Hoiana Beach Resort, and finally the Intercontinental. Those other resorts set a very high bar for value, so I was pleasantly surprised that our stay at the Intercontinental, despite its much higher price point, felt just as worth the money as the others. Going in, I knew the reputation, had seen some photos, and had plenty of luxury resort experiences to compare it to. The Intercontinental is at the top of my personal tier list for luxury beach resorts, and I will definitely be coming back in the near future. We booked the Club Panorama Room for 2 nights, allowing for club lounge access. It was less than $100 USD more per night (compared to booking a panorama room with breakfast), and well worth it. We spent a lot of time at the lounge, from check-in, to breakfast, to afternoon tea, to pre-dinner canapes, to check-out. The lounge itself is excellent, overlooking the whole resort and the water, well-appointed, and although was busy at times, never felt crowded. The service was excellent, always helping to accommodate our seating requests near the window, and orders were taken and fulfilled promptly and cheerfully. Breakfast was a combination of buffet and à la carte, and although the buffet options felt a bit limited, there were plenty of menu items to choose from, all of which were delicious and worth a try (other than the chicken pho, which was a bit bland). The drink selection was superb as well, including juices, kombucha, and alcoholic options. As a side effect of being spoiled at the lounge, we didn't partake in the hotel's various dining options, as the only meal we paid for out of pocket was an in-room dinner when the weather got a bit rainy our second night. Our room itself was majestic. Despite being the base room, it is grand in size at 70 sqm., with high, vaulted ceilings, a huge mirror wall, an incredibly comfortable bed, ample seating and storage throughout, and a luxurious bathroom with one of the best rainforest showers I've experienced. The room was spotless upon arrival, and cleaning staff made up the room immaculately during our stay, and folded all the random clothes we had strewn about as well. Getting around the resort is either by buggy or via walking and the Nam Tram. Having been to many buggy-transfer resorts, I was pleased with the speed and friendliness of the buggy drivers here, as it never felt like we waited more than 5 minutes for a transfer. The service team would also call you when the buggy arrived, making things very convenient. In terms of the resort's various amenities, it is really hard to ask for more. They have an extensive activity list, including a copious amount of free activities. Free tennis, pickleball (including free equipment), a huge variety of beach sports (badminton, volleyball, football, archery, slack line, beach tennis, frisbee, etc), all the standard free water sports (kayak and SUP), and even table tennis, pool, and foosball. On top of all this, they have party rooms with Nintendo Switch (free), as well as private karaoke rooms, which were free during the day until 6 pm. You will simply not run out of even free stuff to do, and will be thankful for all the various places around the resort to lounge and take a break. A few small downsides/issues that popped up during our stay: The main resort pool was a bit on the smaller side, but we didn't even really want to use that or the adults-only pool, as the beach was fantastic. The sand is a bit coarser than elsewhere in Da Nang, but the waters are perfectly calm for paddling. Service had some lows but also some very-highs to make up for those. When we arrived, one of our white golf bags fell out of the buggy on the way to our room, and at our request they cleaned the cover for us promptly. Another issue arose when the cleaning staff accidentally threw away my contact lens case, which was replaced by the hotel the next day. Finally, there was a communication error on the part of the staff, as I was told when trying to book one of the water activities that it was only first-come, first-served, only to be told when I showed up that I would need to book it in advance. To the hotel's credit, the support staff more than made up for it, facilitating the activity, providing us with a free coconut boat experience, as well as providing a free airport transfer upon our departure. Their service went above and beyond to account for the minor issues, and made our stay absolutely memorable. Living in HK, we are spoiled for choice for a beach vacation, but after this trip, and after experiencing the hospitality and beauty of Da Nang and the Intercontinental, I would pick this city and this hotel every time.
