The Seagate Hotel & Spa

I booked this beachfront property to celebrate my daughter's 40th and my 60th birthday. I was very frustrated that the "beachfront" is a mile away from our hotel... I did not realize this when booking and feel like it is not clearly noted on line. We had plenty of choices as true beachfront properties and as we are local (plantation/miami residents) We celebrate every year both locally and long distance. We've enjoyed properties to include, Cheeca Lodge, the Ritz on Ft. Laud, the W, the Delano and more.... When checking in....i expressed my concern and i was given a curt statement of, "you should read before you book" RUDE Asked for a manager to discuss issues, never received a response or call. When we got to our room, our view was a parking lot. Very underwhelming for a pricey room in Delray.... Overall very dissapointed in this property.

Great place with a great staff! From Jason at the front desk, to Eddie the concierge, and Glen the bellman we were completely treated to a 5 star service👏🏼

Great stay. Nicely renovated with beautiful design. All of the staff were helpful and friendly. Juan (housekeeping) was so helpful and always hustling !! Nice pool area and gym on the grounds and access to beach club can’t be beat! The house vans made getting around a breeze

Fantastic hotel stay. My wife and I already can’t wait to go back. Freshly renovated, turn down service, soak tub, balcony, day beds included, mini bar to match my tastes, and the staff are all the main reasons. Paolo at the pool bar in particular stood out. He was a delight to be around, with 40 years experience behind the bar living all over Europe and most importantly made me an Aperol Spritz the Amalfi Coast way. I won’t reveal his secret recipe but suffice to say his service and skill put this stay over the top

The renovations at the Seagate are complete with the addition of a new restaurant, the Bourbon Steakhouse. The new restaurant is overpriced for the food and steaks being offered. I assume the goal of the renovations was the attract a new clientele, that no longer includes families. The previous neighborhood bar gave way to a typical sterile chain hotel bar that at times wasn’t even open during the week. The good news is that they kept some of the original staff that greets you with a smile and makes you feel welcome. I want to single out Paolo the pool bartender. He has been a staple for years that we’ve been coming here. The quality of his cocktails are consistently perfect and he has great recommendations that go beyond what we usually drink. He is genuinely happy to see familiar faces and newcomers.
