We live in Denver and booked a night away for my wife to get some “me time” as we have two small children. The hotel met our needs perfectly. We all enjoyed a delicious meal at Family Jones and then left her to enjoy a well deserved and long overdue night of uninterrupted sleep. The service at dinner was great and the room was perfect. We appreciated the warm hospitality from the staff and look forward to another visit soon.

Our first stay at The Halcyon didn’t quite meet expectations—but what followed truly changed our perspective. After sharing some concerns, the general manager personally reached out. Rather than offering a generic apology, he explained the concrete steps they had taken to address the issues and invited us back to experience the improvements firsthand. That follow-through made all the difference. From the moment we arrived for our second visit, everything felt elevated. Check-in was seamless, the room was clean, stylish, and featured one of the most comfortable beds we’ve ever slept in. We enjoyed meals at all the on-site restaurants—each one offering great food and attentive service. The staff at Quality Italian stood out for their knowledge and professionalism, and breakfast at Local Jones on the patio was a highlight. We also reserved a cabana at the rooftop pool. Even with less-than-perfect weather, the experience was excellent. The furniture was comfortable and the attendants from Rare Bird were consistently available, offering food and drinks with a friendly attitude. One of the things we appreciate most is that The Halcyon is independently owned. That independence shows—in the personalized service, the genuine hospitality, and the team’s clear commitment to improving and creating memorable guest experiences. We’re glad we gave it another chance. It’s now a place we’re happy to return to and recommend.

Arrived dog tired after a delayed flight and long day. Upon arrival at 2:15, I was told by a very nasty front desk that my room wasn’t ready and that it would be at least an hour if not longer. I asked if they could really try to hurry and she snapped at me that “there are people in front of you! Housekeeping will let me know when the room is ready and I’ll page you”. Dismayed and exhausted, I went to the restaurant off the lobby and was unapologetically told that the kitchen had just closed “. I haven’t even checked in yet and I’m never coming back. Apparently $$$$$ doesn’t mean SERVICE at the Halcyon

The bed is very comfy, the rooftop bar and pool are cool, the lobby is hip, the gym is nice, however I give the place four stars for 2 reasons (added a third reason but didn't impact rating). 1) Coffee is available in lobby 24/7, however if you head down there between 4am-5am, there may not be someone there to actually assist and there is no way to alert them you are there. You have to wait or try and make coffees yourself (which they frown upon when they finally show up). 2) Breakfast was included in my rate, however breakfast at restaurant or room service wasn't available until 7:30am, even on weekdays. That doesn't really work for many working people (or people that want to head out for the day early). 3) Doesn't impact my rating, but an annoyance, the toilet in the room had very low pressure when flushed. I assume this could be fixed with a call to maintenance, but I didn't bother

We had a wonderful evening with friends on the rooftop. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Our hotel room was very clean and loved the record player! We would recommend the Halycon for your next stay in the Cherry Creek area!
