Halcyon, a hotel in Cherry Creek

The halcyon was by far one of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in. From front desk to housekeeping to the food & beverage everything was top notch! Highly recommend!

Had a great time until the front desk notified us by text at 11:30pm the evening before checkout that we were being charged an extra $500 for a "smoking event" earlier that day in our room. My husband and I are both healthcare professionals in our late 30s, have never smoked or vaped, and I'm currently 36.5 weeks pregnant. We thought surely discussing with the front desk manager the next morning they would realize the mistake and resolve the charge. Nope. The manager just handed us a piece of paper showing their "report" and doubled down that it picks up smoking and vaping and we owe $500. At no point did a member of hotel staff come to the room to inspect it or verify anything. The manager said she couldn’t make any changes to the bill but we can speak with someone else on Tuesday. Great- I’ll add that to my list of things to do before I deliver. I can't express how ridiculous it feels to be accused of something like this at a business where we chose to spend a lot of money and were essentially called liars. I’ve seen two similar reviews for this hotel posted in the last few months, and The Points Guy just posted a full article on fraudulent charges of this type at multiple hotels using this technology last month. We won’t be letting the issue go. This totally ruined the last day of our staycation before the baby comes. It’s unfortunate the Halcyon handled this so poorly. We were planning to come back in a few months, enjoy the pool and rent a cabana, had even recommended the hotel to family coming to visit in June who booked a 5 night stay (which they will be canceling after hearing how we were treated). We will never come back to the Halcyon.

Great experience at The Halcyon Hotel! A+ location in addition to excellent amenities and an awesome staff. I highly recommend!

I stayed at The Halcyon recently for a conference and the team knocked it out of the park. The hotel was clean, inviting and well appointed. The team was hospitable, courteous and professional. There were so many little touches that went above and beyond, from the complimentary pastries and coffee at the front desk, to the luxurious mattress topper, to the bathroom soaps and lotions, to the "nooks" complete with the Wall Street Journal and more pastries. This hotel has it all.

I recently stayed at Halcyon for a work event and had a great experience. The team was welcoming and attentive, and everything for the event ran smoothly. The meeting spaces were well set up, my room was clean and comfortable, and the food for the event was truly out of this world. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and I would happily return.
