We booked a room here to use as my bridal getting ready suite and also for our wedding night. We also recommended two of our friends/wedding guests book their rooms here. We would not stay here again and I'm honestly embarrassed that I recommended it to friends. When I tried to take a shower before my wedding, the bathroom floor completely flooded. I'm talking at least an inch, maybe 2 inches, of water. I had to use every spare towel in the bathroom to sop up the floor. It put me behind schedule for my make up artist and made it ridiculously hard to use the bathroom after that. I also didn't have time to clean it up before I left so after our wedding, my new husband and I came back to a waterlogged bathroom that we had to spend 10 minutes mopping up. We then had to call downstairs to get more towels at 2am so we could shower and when we did, making extra sure the shower door was closed, the bathroom flooded again. We realized that the way the shower door is designed basically allows water to flow out everywhere and you can't stop it. On top of that, the sinks wouldn't drain. Nothing like swirling toothpaste and dirty water to set the mood on your wedding night. My friend who stayed on another floor called me the next day to ask if our shower had flooded too. I confirmed with my other friend that it happened to she and her boyfriend, too, and she mentioned that both of their sinks wouldn't drain either. I know this isn't a new problem because the bottom of the main bathroom door was bubbled and peeling. We are really, really disappointed. My husband and I went back and forth on whether to spend money on a hotel because we live just down the road. We ultimately agreed it was a special night and we should stay somewhere special, so we found Hotel Teatro, a 4 star hotel just down the road from where we first met. After the experience we had, we both agreed we should've saved the money and just come home. Also, I was also really bummed that I wasn't allowed to use the luxury car service to get to my venue because the concierge said it was out of their service area. I double checked their website and the map and it absolutely wasn't out of the service area. So I ended up driving myself to my own wedding, wearing my veil. Thanks for the awesome customer service, made the day feel so extra special. The valet service was honestly the best thing about this hotel. Really friendly and helpful guys, which I appreciated. Overall, though, wouldn't recommend.

We first stayed at Hotel Teatro several years ago with our dog, Meg, when we attended a show at the Buell Theater (one block away). Our pre-theater dinner at The Nickel was wonderful with excellent food and service. We all were treated so well and Hotel Teatro is especially dog friendly. We enjoyed our stay so much that when we returned to Denver we booked a Monday night stay last week so we could easily go to a Colorado Rockies game that night and attend a Denver Broncos training camp session early the next morning. We were able to check in early on Monday and had a lovely corner Queen bed room with a balcony. Everything was perfect in the room, size, temperature, view and the bathroom was a large size with separate tub and rain shower. We enjoyed a complimentary glass of chilled Prosecco as we waited for our free Lyft to Coors Field (arranged by the front desk, give them 10-15 minutes heads up for when you want to depart depending on the time of day). We had planned to walk the 15 minutes to the field, but it was 97 degrees in Denver at 5pm that day, so we enjoyed the 8 minute air-conditioned drive. The next morning we used our $10 nickel token to enjoy two delicious mochas on our way out the door. Unfortunately, we did not have time to order from the breakfast menu. We again enjoyed our stay so much we have booked another night this Friday for the Denver Broncos game. It’s a 25 minutes walk to Mile High Stadium, but we may just take advantage of the free car service again. Hotel Teatro is one of the best boutique hotels we have stayed at and we highly recommend it. The staff is extremely customer-focused, the rooms are beautiful and comfortable and the location is excellent.

At first glance, this seems like a nice hotel, but it is very poorly run. It starts with the $67 PER DAY parking fee. The surrounding neighborhood is not somewhere you would realistically want to park on the street, so you are essentially stuck paying it. The staff was consistently confused. We were given tokens at check-in and told they were worth $10 toward breakfast, despite having already paid for breakfast in our package. The cafe then told us they were only worth $5. We were also handed information stating the hotel offered free transportation within one mile, only to be told later that service did not exist. Those things are frustrating, but the cleanliness is the real problem. The hotel is visibly rundown, with dirty, scratched walls, doors, and elevators throughout. Worse, guests are expected to personally request housekeeping EVERY DAY. COVID is long behind us. Hotel rooms, sheets, towels, bathrooms, and floors should be cleaned daily unless a guest declines service. The floors were filthy and grimy, and the restaurant floors were so black with residue from dirty mops that it made us seriously question the cleanliness of the kitchen. But the absolute worst was a trail of dried diarrhea outside the women’s public restroom that remained there for TWO DAYS. That tells you everything you need to know about the cleanliness standards and management of this hotel. We will absolutely never stay here again.

Spacious, quiet room, friendly staff, convenient location. Not sure how I feel about having to use valet parking, but it worked well enough.
