Hotel Teatro provides guests with a recently renovated, modern experience juxtaposed with the historic setting of the 20th century Renaissance Revival building in which it is housed. An ideal location in the heart of Denver’s music and theatre district, set against a beautiful Rocky Mountain backdrop, the four-diamond Hotel Teatro is surrounded by independently owned and operated restaurants and shops.

I travel extensively but don’t always write reviews. I had been looking forward to staying at this hotel before my conference. The web photos look beautiful and charming. But I have to say I’m disappointed and glad I have a one night stay. I checked in around 9:30pm after many flight delays. The web said the restaurant closed at 10 but sadly when I arrived exhausted and hungry from my travels, the front desk told me it had already closed at nine. My options were to leave the hotel again and go someplace close by or order from an outside delivery service. I was too tired for either. The room was very small but well styled. When I walked to the window to check out my view, for $479/night, the HVAC system and garage stared back at me through a dusty window. I trudged back downstairs, hoping to get a better view for my one night stay. I was told by the front desk that they were “very near” capacity and got an apology that it couldn’t be helped. That said, neither the service nor accommodations are ones I would recommend at this price point. If you do decide to stay here, ask questions in advance to ensure your room will be worth it.

I recently completed my second stay at Hotel Teatro in in Denver Colorado and found it equally as delightful to my first stay several years ago. The rooms are clean and well-furnished. The vintage nature of the hotel is evident throughout but does not interfere with the functionality one bit. You couldn't ask for better staff. All staff members are delightful to interact with and extremely helpful. The location is convenient to the Colorado convention center and Denver theater district. The new Huckleberry Roaster coffee shop in Larimer Square is only two blocks away and there are an abundance of eating establishments within walking distance. Highly recommended!

From the moment I walked into this cute and quaint boutique hotel, I was impressed...and smitten. Though there are many little perfect touches to appreciate (like the heavenly bath tubs, the dream beds, high quality toiletries, and the complimentary La Colombe drip coffee and breakfast burritos), it was the service that impressed me most. At check-in, Matthew, a front desk agent, told me Happy Birthday and remarked that I was born on a Saturday (I still don't know how he knew that...unless he took the time to calculate. Again, impressed.) And, Ricki, also provided me excellent service - chatting up about my dinner whereabouts throughout my stay, and graciously serving me hot water daily for my herbal tea. The entire team - from the amazing barista, Viry, at the coffee shop in The Study, to Natalie, the super friendly manager who energetically welcomed me back for this visit. This team is always "on". The guest service is unmatched! As for the hotel, itself, it's so cozy and comfortable. The Study is a gathering spot that just beckons you in - shelves of books, a warm fireplace, tables and comfy sofas, and, of course, coffee and wine. Um, yes please. The rooms are tidy with cute decorative touches throughout, customary of a boutique property. There's even a fitness center, with towel service, bottles of water, an unexpected Peloton bike, and a weight bench. Just what I needed to get my strength training sessions in. Again, it's the little things. I thoroughly enjoyed my 3-day, 2-night stay at Teatro. I could easily make this a monthly respite - they made me feel right at home. If you want small and quaint with numerous little thoughtful touches, paired with excellent guest service, downtown city center, I think Teatro is your only option. It's certainly the best one. I can't wait to come back!

Teatro blew me away with their service, attention to detail and of course - their fabulous staff! The beds are super comfy and the towels are awesome. I love staying here when I’m in Denver. The proximity to Larimer square, DPCA, and Union are perfect!

I went to Denver solo for the Myles Kennedy show at The Summit, which was suddenly cancelled due to the snowstorm in Kansas City (where the band was driving in from). So, I have this hotel room in Denver that is non-refundable because I booked through Expedia (I seriously need to learn my lesson with that) and I was already there so I just stayed and went shopping and to the movies. The hotel is super cute and "boutique" style. The rooms are small but clean and comfortable, but I was put by the elevator which was VERY noisy and old. I had to turn my fan app on my phone up just to drown out the noise. Speaking of the elevator, there were only two and it took forever to get anywhere as it was old and creaky and slow. Also, I did not get my "complimentary Prosecco" at check in because they were out and they said to come back later. I forgot about it and ended up just purchasing the $20 glasses of wine at The Nickel hotel bar/restaurant. The best part for me was probably the food. I had a fish entree at the bar called Colorado Trout with White Wine and Capers that was absolutely incredible and almost made everything else better. While I would stay here again, I would ask to be put away from the elevator and remember to go back for my prosecco. The location is perfect--right in LODO Denver, so there are a ton of restaurants, bars and shops nearby or an uber ride away.
