The hotel is beautiful. The natural scenario is amazing. I guess they think that compensates for a lack of service and professionalism.

Disappointed except for the beautiful natural setting
Whale Cove Inn was once a great full service quality small inn with great service, but it has really gone downhill. The management was surprisingly unprofessional and unfriendly for some reason, on several occasions. The rooms are large, but well worn and in need of maintenance and refresh. You're over paying for their fabulous view . FYI , They add an automatic gratuity on your bill.

Could not be better!
COULD NOT BE BETTER! We spent two nights in a Signature Suite here to celebrate our 25th anniversary. From reception on, everything was perfect. The suite overlooked Depoe Bay, with the most gorgeous view from our balcony. The room was very large and appointed with everything you could need.. including binoculars to hunt for grey whales in the cove. Spotless and comfortable, we skipped a planned whale watching trip, just to hang in the room to enjoy the view and rhythm of the ocean. The team at the Inn were outstanding from reception to check out. They have great pride in the property and it shows at every turn. We had dinner at Restaurant Beck - part of the hotel offerings. Wonderful meal and service with inventive dishes. A must try. Will be back next year.

The Beauty of the PCH in One Spot.
This was by far the most incredible stay of our 12 day trip up the PCH. The suites are large, almost apartment-like. It would feel like home except for the gorgeous views and roomy hot tub on the balcony. Depoe Bay is a sweet little coastal town with this extraordinary diamond sitting on its edge. This was a 5-star hotel for its beauty alone.

Treasure Box Delight
My Signature Suite was a treasure box delight, suspended over the Oregon surf. Greeted with a warm "Welcome back!" The suite was spotless with a dreamy bed worthy of my princess and the pea sensibility. Sleeping to the sound of the surf is more effective than a year of therapy. Should you tire of watching whales from your deck, one of the best whale watching perches on the coast is less than a quarter of a mile south.
