With its snow-white sand and crystal-clear Emerald Coast waters, Destin has always been a family favorite. Our luxurious yet inviting 170-room resort fits in beautifully with the surrounding state park. Original works by local artists adorn the hotel walls, while spacious terraces and a rooftop provide the perfect space to unwind and take in the pool, Gulf and sunset views. Enjoy paddle boarding, take a bike ride, and rejuvenate in the Salamander Spa. Indulge in fresh Gulf-to-table seafood in either Horizons, Primrose or at the sushi bar.

So disappointed in the overall experience. This hotel is in dire need of a rehab with both employees and rooms. Not worth the money- even during OFF season.

Disappointing. Really wanted to like this resort. Stayed two nights in August as a family of four. The PROS: The main hotel building is nice. Very welcoming when you come in. Room service was quick and reasonably priced. The CONS: (1) Our room was not ready for all four of us to stay (e.g. the pull out couch had no linens) so it took several times of flagging down the housekeeping crew, who struggled to understand and bring a full kit of linens. (2) We self parked. Our car window was broken while on the premises. After follow up calls, I still have not received any feedback or remedy from the hotel. Still awaiting a call back. (3) The property isn't on the beach. You have to walk across the street through multiple gates, which is challenging when toting children and beach gear. (4) On the beach there are amenities (bar and restaurant), but children are not welcome at those locations (except during Sunday brunch, I was told). Given the experience we had, we'll look elsewhere on our next trip. The value for price just isn't there.

Booked a bucket list trip for my mom since she suffered a stroke last year. Her 73rd birthday was during our trip and although the hotel concierge was amazing and set up balloons and strawberries to celebrate, the rest of the trip was not great. First off, I was explicitly told by the concierge to book our beach set months in advance to avoid the $79 charge. I was so grateful for this information and booked all 4 days immediately and received an email showing proof of $0 complimentary charge. Upon checkout, I was charged $86 for the beach set up on one of the days. I contacted the hotel and was put in touch with John's assistant Jazmin who told me that they only gave me the free beach set up for my mom's birthday and that they NEVER offer complimentary beach set ups and that I was told wrong. I sent her the proof via email showing that it was complimentary and I shouldn't have been charged for any of the days we visited. She emailed me back and blatantly stated that I was wrong and again said they never offer complimentary beach set up even in advance. I then had to show her proof on her own damn website that shows complimentary if you book months in advance. How is she an assistant to the owner John and she doesn't even know what is freaking offered on their own website? Completely unacceptable to fight a guest - especially when I was billed incorrectly. Let's put this into terms she will understand- if no complimentary beach sets are offered.... why was i only randomly charged on our check out date and not for the other 3 days we visited the beach? Do you think possibly someone gave our room number by mistake? Come on! Use your brain! And to top it all off, after I complained about being charged in error, the Henderson Resort has now CHARGED ME AN ADDITIONAL $86. This is unbelievable and I am never going back. They have completely left a sour taste in my mouth and basically ruined what should have been an incredible experience for my mom and I. Lastly, the rooms are a bit run down- none of our lamps worked, the TV crashes and buffers constantly, the charging sockets are worn out, however, i did love the comforter and the robes as they were very soft.

We have stayed here quite often and there’s always an issue. The spa isn’t luxury but the people are friendly and it’s clean

Our stay at this hotel was nothing short of amazing! From the beautiful location to the outstanding customer service, everything was top-notch and very upscale. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious, and every detail exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to LaBounty, who took such wonderful care of us at the beach—providing great chairs with perfect views. He was so sweet and attentive, making our experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back!
