The Henderson Beach Resort & Spa

This was our 4th stay at the Henderson over about a 4 year span. A few years ago, when it was new, it was lovely. Pricey then, yes, but super clean and worth the premium. Over the years it has gradually slipped in quality but the price is still premium. This stay, however, was it for us. Bathroom had not been cleaned (toothpaste on mirror, something sticky on floor), A/C did not work (could not get room below 72°F). We could have gotten that quality (or better) at a Hampton Inn. On top of that, the resort fees in the winter (when none of the amenities are open) is ridiculous. Just an easy way to jack up the room rate even higher. This place was one of our favorites, but we won’t be back.

I stayed at Henderson Beach Resort to celebrate my birthday and had the absolute best time. From check-in to check-out, the service was outstanding—every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The room was gorgeous. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the robe was unbelievably soft, and the bath products were luxurious. The shower and soaking tub felt spa-like, and the in-room coffee machine was such a great perk. I also loved that there was a custom coffee and chai latte machine on each floor, which was such a thoughtful and convenient touch. Even with colder weather, we still enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. The food and drinks were excellent. The pizza and butter cake were incredible, and the cocktails were just as good. I loved spending time at the rooftop bar, and breakfast was delicious as well. I also spent time at The Henderson Spa and had a pedicure with Theresa, who was absolutely fantastic—one of the best I’ve ever had. The products were extremely high quality, the spa amenities were wonderful, and I couldn’t resist taking home several goodies. Truly one of the best spa experiences I’ve had. During the busy holiday period, the resort felt a bit understaffed given how many guests were onsite. The team provided exceptional service despite this, but I hope management considers adding more staff during peak times to avoid burnout—because you truly have an incredible team. It would also be wonderful to see a full-service restaurant open for dinner seven nights a week, as well as an expanded selection of custom Henderson-branded merchandise in the gift shop—I wanted to purchase more keepsakes, but the selection was limited. Overall, this was a fantastic stay, and I’m already looking forward to returning. Henderson Beach Resort made my birthday feel special in every way.

Kohde help us each evening we were here. He took a beautiful picture for us in front of the Christmas decorations. Each time we walk by he offered us water. He offered our puppy special dog treats. Most of all he was positive and had a wonderful sense of welcoming the guest.

Grady Randolph at the Henderson in Destin Florida was by far one of the best guest interactions I’ve had in a very long time. He was very attentive to my needs . He was able to get us into a room and just had a really nice attitude and positivity. thank you so much again, Grady.
