The Henderson Beach Resort & Spa

We were excited to spend the weekend. The food was excellent. The room and housekeeping were awful for the price we are paying. We had a severe ant problem in the room. The sofa bed was never cleaned. There were Doritos on the sheets and the sheets were soiled. Very disappointed for the price we paid.

What a great family hotel & destination. With very little awareness of Destin, I picked the hotel based on the reviews. The Henderson lofts are great for a family vacation. Easy access to the beach. Great family entertainment from the pools, djs and arcade. However, special mention to the spa! Booked a service with Theresa and it was fantastic. The quality of the service was absolutely a treat. Sometimes spa quality places aren’t the best but this is worth every dollar! Thank you for such a relaxing experience.

This was our first stay at the Resort and everything has been wonderful! From the quick room change , thanks to Kodhe, when we arrived and our room wasn’t a King (which was the coordinator for our conventions mistake) to the beautiful clean resort. We especially enjoyed the excellent service by the beach chair team. Arthur was particularly helpful and so much fun! We enjoyed seeing him everyday when we came to be seated. Also Josh, Kailey & Piper worked so hard with him, keeping the beach clean, towels supplied and umbrellas up. Be sure and reserve your 1st row seat online way ahead of your stay for the best view and breeze! Be sure and ask for Arthur AKA 5 star, for service that makes you feel special.

I recently stayed at Henderson Beach Resort with my mom as an early celebration of her 80th birthday, and it was truly a memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The level of attention across the entire hotel was superb, every interaction reflected care, warmth, and professionalism. A special touch that meant a lot to us was when a staff member surprised my mom with a thoughtful gesture to celebrate her milestone, which made her feel incredibly special. The kindness extended to everyone we encountered, from the waitresses to the broader hotel team, who consistently went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and at ease. There is a genuine culture of hospitality here that you can feel in every detail. The facilities themselves are beautiful and well maintained, adding to the overall experience. If I were to suggest one area for improvement, it would be the temperature of the air conditioning in the lobby and hallways, which felt excessively cold. In particular, during breakfast at Primrose, the temperature made it uncomfortable, my mom struggled with the cold, and I found myself needing to wear a jacket while we were dining. I want to give a special thank you to Nicole Uribe for making it such a meaningful experience. She truly went above and beyond to make our stay exceptional. Her attention to detail and genuine warmth go far beyond expectations, and it’s clear she puts her whole heart into what she does. She has a remarkable ability to connect with guests and instantly make you feel welcome, relaxed, and at home. She made a lasting impression on us, and we are deeply grateful for her care. Because of her, this celebration became something we will always remember. Thank you, Nicole, for creating such a beautiful experience for my mom and me. Overall, this was a wonderful stay filled with meaningful moments, and I would absolutely recommend Henderson Beach Resort for both its beautiful setting and, most importantly, its exceptional people.

Don’t expect to watch any televised NFL, NBA or any other games on NBC. We were excited as a family to watch a championship NBA game on NBC during our stay as the channel guide card in the room notes they offer NBC. However, NBC doesn’t exist. And paying up to 800.00 a night doesn’t allow you to cast to the tv either. I talked to the manager on duty - basically told me nothing they could do as it’s not in their service contract with Dish Network. I asked why the card in the room advertises that they have the channel - I told her it was poor marketing… she said nothing she can do. She sent engineering up to verify that there is nothing that can be done. He said so many guests complain about this year round with nfl and nba games and they won’t update the TVs to allow casting no matter how many complaints. He said I won’t be the last guest to complain about this for sure as it’s a constant problem. Poor customer service management technique as well from the manager on duty. Just basically that they can’t do anything about it. You would think a “luxury” hotel would have updated TVs in this tech world. Disappointed to say the least.
