Forty miles by seaplane from its legendary Per AQUUM sister, Niyama Maldives is a worthy newcomer. You'll find every bit of deserted island dream fodder here – tucked-away lounge areas that invite a nap by the water, overwater bungalows, infinity pools and a turquoise-heavy color palate that blends right into the horizon – but the array of indulgent activities also attracts a hip and active crowd.

Our stay at Niyama Private Islands Maldives was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, everything was beyond our expectations. A very special thank you to Zaid, who took exceptional care of us throughout our stay. He was always kind, friendly, professional and quick to help with anything we needed. His attention to detail and genuine hospitality made our family feel truly welcome and looked after. The resort itself is stunning, with beautiful villas, amazing food and incredible service. Every experience was thoughtfully arranged, making our holiday relaxing and full of wonderful memories. Thank you Zaid, and the entire Niyama team for making our trip so special. Alshehhi Family

We had a wonderful time in Niyama! Niyama gives us a chill vibe the first day we arrived in the resort, we had a cocktail party right next to the beach and met the leaders-Steven, David, Seith , Angee (sorry if I spell it incorrectly) these people are so amazing. We felt warmly welcomed and truly appreciated, thanks Shammu, Kofi, Ann and Semi who gave a great service. Especially Shammu our butler who always actively solve our problems, helped reserve different activities and restaurants, we are so lucky to have you;)

We had the most wonderful time in Niyama, celebrating a couple of big birthdays and end of exams (school). This trip was all about recharging our batteries and enjoying the very chilled atmosphere of this beautiful spot. From the moment we landed and were greeted by our Thakuru, Imthy, we were looked after with such care and personal attention. We loved our personalised bikes and used them to get around the islands for our whole stay. We chose a beach villa with pool rather than an over-water villa (the water can be quite choppy this time of year and being right on the beach suited us). Dining at Epicure, Blu and Dune was always delicious with plenty of choice. The other restaurants' menus were a little challenging even for an older teenager and quite pricey to take a punt so we stuck to our buffet evenings happily. We did Teppanyaki night at Nest, which is well worth the culinary entertainment (not to mention the delicious food). The beaches were pristine and all of the public places well tended. We made good use of the games room and the gym. The dolphin sunset cruise was a highlight as was sunset yoga out by Surf Shack. The sounds of Niyama also need a mention. Waves, birdsong, breeze. Beautiful. We have been to many beautiful places around the world, but Niyama stood out for the quality of its service. To a person, everyone we met was so welcoming and warm, professional and gracious. We met some really lovely people. With apologies to those whose names we didn't get, we would like to namecheck the following. Imthy, who looked after us and ensured we had everything we needed. Yoga mat request went in and half an hour later there was one delivered to our room. Also a shout-out to his wife Yulia who was lovely. Sami at Epicure (and another lady with her, whose name escapes me) who needs a special mention, as a new member of the Niyama staff and who greeted us every morning and evening with a gentle and sincere energy. Also Fathik at Epicure who looked after us on many occasions. Prithesh at Dune who always looked after us with impeccable and very attentive service. Also, Kofi, Ronson and many others. Mei Mei who gave me an individual Turtle Talk and who we met later in the week when she had identified a nesting site and was obviously so committed to her conservation work. Mo, who tried very hard to recruit us to go diving. Sorry we didn't meet Dave at the Dive Centre. Maybe next time? We've been to the Maldives before and we've been struck by the warmth of the people. But Niyama and its people was something special. Thank you.

Niyama is an amazing place to visit. We were there last week of a June and the weather was incredible. The facilities, rooms and activities were spectacular. It’s very hard to describe just how beautiful the island is. We did everything we could, snorkeling, windsurfing, electric surfboard, surfing at Vodi which is probably the best left hander in the world. The staff were incredible and a particular mention must be made for the following individuals: Our thakuru Imthy - professional and nothing is too much Sami and Pritesh in the restaurants- impeccable service Pasha - head of active, amazing and very helpful (very funny guy) Bianca at surf school- patient, funny and excellent motivator We did the package deal which included all food which was of excellent quality and everyday they changed the theme to keep it interesting and flavourful.
