Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa

We had the pleasure of staying at Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa for 7 wonderful days, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived, the warmth, professionalism, and genuine hospitality of the entire team made us feel right at home. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, allowing us to completely relax and enjoy our stay. We are incredibly grateful to Victorina from reservations for her efficiency and helpfulness, and to Beryl and Collins at the front desk for always greeting us with a smile and assisting us so kindly. The food and beverage experience was exceptional, thanks to Jack and his team. A heartfelt thank you to Irene, Benjamin, Jane, Asha, and Faridah for their attentive and friendly service — you truly made every meal special. We also deeply appreciate the housekeeping staff for maintaining our room beautifully throughout our stay, and a special mention to the security guard and his lovely dog Tom, who added such a unique and welcoming touch to our daily walks. To everyone who contributed in big and small ways — thank you for making our trip so memorable. We leave with wonderful memories and look forward to returning again soon. Highly recommended!

This is a premier location within Diani Beach.  Security is excellent.  Every member of the staff here is courteous and professional.  This was my second stay at this location.  The first was the summer of 2023 and honestly, they have not missed a beat.   The meals that they prepare and the spirit that they exhibit while preparing and serving food is top notch.  You can come here and truly feel relaxed.   Also, if you need a refreshing drink, find Eric, the master mixologist at the bar.  Shower pressure and water heat could be better. It's manageable but I do wish it were better.  It's not a deal breaker however.

Diani Reef is a heartbreak of a property. The location is world-class, but the resort itself is badly maintained and falling apart. The Good: The staff is the only reason this place functions. They are exceptional, hardworking, and kind, but they are clearly stretched way too thin by management. The Bad: The infrastructure is crumbling. Between the peeling paint, dated rooms, and general lack of maintenance, the "luxury" title no longer fits. The Reality: Poor management has let this beautiful spot slip into neglect. It’s run-down and desperately needs a renovation. Verdict: Go for the beach, but expect a property that has seen much better days. I'd NOT recommend or be going back!!!

A good place to stay, with a lovely beach, lovely food and very friendly staff. The rooms need a little renovations though, but they aren't very bad, just a little upgrade.
