On the positives, the staff are very friendly and try hard. They did their best for me, and gave me a late check out, but I'm afraid that's where it ends. The food is adequate, but no more. Buffet very limited, especially as regards the cold dishes/starters. This place is desperately run down. Broken beach beds, ripped mattresses, only luke warm water in the rooms...I could go on. I suspect that whoever owns this property is milking it for every last dollar, before closing down. It's a shame, because 5 years ago it was a nice place to stay.

I rated my expirience 55 because service food the whole packet is great , expecially one service guy named Abdalla big one and another one named Victor by the pool bar . They are the best service ever that you can get . Only things that is a little bit annoying is beach boys , but you get use to it after 2-3 days .

I truly enjoyed my stay at Diani Reef. The staff were warm and welcoming, and I’d like to give a special mention to a young gentleman and woman named Brevian and purity who works at the restaurant. Brevian was exceptionally courteous and professional—an absolute asset to the team. His dedication and genuine interest in improving the business were clearly evident. I’m sincerely grateful to him and the rest of the staff for making my stay so pleasant.

We were lucky to be served by two amazing waiters, both named Abdala. One, with glasses, impressed us with his kindness, professionalism, and attention to every detail. The other won our hearts by singing beautiful birthday songs that brought so much joy and made the atmosphere unforgettable. A special thank you to Beckman at the reception, whose warm welcome and helpful attitude made us feel right at home from the very first moment. The entire hotel staff deserves praise for their friendliness, professionalism, and genuine care for guests. Thank you all for making our stay so special – we will always remember it with a smile!

The hotel and rooms are clean and comfortable however could do with some attention as could the whole hotel, if listening to the waves crash on the famous Diani beach is what you have come for - this is not the place. Different music simultaneously emanates from 3 different sources - the bar in the hotel the bar at the pool and al la carte restaurant which continues to wax lyrical with karaoke until late at night - all woe the sea-facing room. The food caters for the local market with cassava served for high tea. The staff are wonderful as with everywhere in Kenya - but I do feel that we have been misled - I feel that the included hotel meals are not worth it if you are expecting a little variety or special dining opportunities. The constant harassment on the beach as you are stereotyped by the hawkers is something akin I am sorry to say - Phuket. Do your homework!
