I booked a five day Christmas stay at this hotel. The hotel kept in touch in the days run up to our stay and checked went on smoothly. Major positives is attitude of some staff. Positives: 1. They were out to please and made our stay really enjoyable. 2. The location is heavenly, best beach in the world. We were lucky to have a tide recede and took a long walk into the ocean and taken through some marine life like pregnant star fish, sea cucumber, stone fish, sea spider etc. 3. Room was spacious and cleaning was on time and good. Downsides: 1. The facility cries for a facelift. Some parts a dilapidated and literary antique. 2. Some staff had a not good attitude. Asking for something basic was met with an indifferent answer. Felt like there were too many untrained casuals hired for Christmas period. Security staff aggressive towards guests coming in after a visit out of hotel. Teach them courtesy. 3. Pricing was way way off. Example, drinks during meals charged as extras and at exorbitant process? How can I be on full board but charged USD 4 for a small soda or small glass juice during a meal?? Rip off this one. 4. Limited meal options.

This resort boasts perhaps the longest stretch of coastline in Kenya, white sandy beaches, clear turquoise water, and a beautiful breeze. The grounds are well kept with manicured lawns and creative architecture. Yes, the resort is dated with most of the buildings showing their age, but the staff strive to keep everything clean and well maintained, though the ros do need a bit of renovation. The food was excellent, and I can't say enough about the friendly and hospitable staff right from check-in and gheroughout our stay. I would still recommend this, especially for families and large groups.

Our booking for a connecting room, which was done 4 months before and paid for in full, was not honored. Check in took 1 hour and the team seem to not be aware we were coming at 5am yet all the information was shared on email and communicated through several phone calls! The hotel is run down and poorly maintained. The food is over priced. You are better off paying for BB and eating at another hotel...preferably local hotel. Not value for money in all aspects.

We had a fantastic stay at Diani Reef Beach Resort & Spa. From the moment we arrived, the staff stood out as the highlight of our visit. Every member of the team was warm, attentive and genuinely committed to making us feel welcome. Their friendliness, professionalism and personal touches made our stay truly memorable. Our room was spotless and comfortable, the facilities were excellent, and the grounds were beautifully maintained. While all of this contributed to a great experience, it’s really the staff who elevate the hotel to another level. As for Diani Beach overall, it’s absolutely stunning – pristine sand, warm turquoise waters and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. The only drawback is the number of hawkers along the beach. Nearly every time you step onto the sand, someone approaches you, and it can become a bit persistent and slightly annoying. That said, the natural beauty of the beach itself is exceptional. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended.
