We decided to dine at the Elements at Four Seasons Hotel in West Bay, Doha, State of Qatar. From the time we disembarked to the amazing welcome into the restaurent. The service, atmosphere, food and last but not least, the smile and courteous treatment from the Culinary Director, Mr. Edgar, Chef Shalika, Chef Clinton, Chef Amila, Chef Silva, Chef Shane and not forgetting the others Tuan, Tia and Ciara. The food presentation and taste was unbelievable. We were treated exceptionally and it’s indeed a worth to visit again and again. This is what I call “Service” which many places fall short of. I was so full, forgot to finish my beer! Next time.

Doha is not a touristic place to visit, but nevertheless a nice stop on my way from Europe to Asia and back. It brings some variety to the sempiternel stop at Dubai. To secure my first visit to Doha, I’ve chosen Four Seasons, a safe bet as for me. I was not disappointed: nice estate, beautiful room, fully equipped, overlooking the Doha bay, very welcoming and friendly staff calling you with your name as if they know you for years (a hallmark of Four Seasons). Breakfast at Elements is good, Nobu is in line with expectations for a Nobu, Curiosa (by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten) is deceptive. Spa is OK (beware that Spa is located in a separated building from the hotel). It’s a pity that pools are closed for works during my stay, if I had known that when I made reservation I would choose another hotel (the hotel did inform me before arrival but not upon reservation).

A solo trip where I booked my room literally an hour before I arrived. Pros Great welcome, upgraded to sea view from city, The room was clearly recently renovated and beautiful! So warm and welcoming, you could really relax there. I had lunch in the Deli and dinner in Curiosa. The Deli felt quite expensive for a coffee (44 Riyal alone) and salad. Curiosa was outstanding, delicious food and cocktails. I also loved the outside terrace with AC built into the walls/ceiling. The main pool is being renovated so they have a temporary beach bar set up. Being able to easily move between the pool and beach for swimming was great. Walkable to the city centre mall (after the sun goes down) but taxis are plentiful. Breakfast was expansive and delicious. Buffet or a la carte and you could also sit outside on another AC terrace if you chose too. I love a relaxing breakfast! Cons None really except for the price of basic items (coffee and Coca Cola). Overall a beautiful hotel in a great location.
