Superb hotel

Everything as you would expect at a Ritz Carlton, beautiful, elegant interiors, superb service & luxurious room with lovely views from 18th floor. We stayed for 3 nights prior to flying onto Thailand. Our room was large with balcony with sea view & views of the beach & Pearl which was spectacular when lit up at night. The lounge area in reception was comfortable for relaxing with an excellent lady playing piano in the early evening. Pretty gardens & pool area for relaxing during the day. Friendly helpful staff who were happy to help with any request promptly. Breakfast buffet catered for all tastes & nationalities, with Middle Eastern, western & Asian choices. Evening dining offered 3 a la carte restaurants as well as the buffet restaurant which offered multiple choices. Very pleased that we choose the Ritz Carlton for our short stay in Doha.

I had an excellent deep tissue massage with Mustapha - very thorough, would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the hotel.

Highly recommended

Congratulations on a hotel that pays attention to even the most seemingly trivial details. Reception, welcome, rooms: everything is top notch. Friendly, smiling staff. Quiet surroundings, carefully selected music. Private beach with attentive service. The beach staff are fantastic!!!! Generous, high-quality breakfast. Quiet, comfortable rooms. Highly recommended!!! .

Horrible experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 weeks ago

I’ve stayed at numerous Ritz Carltons all over the world. This hotel is without a doubt the worst and not up to the standard usually expected. From the moment I checked in, I was shocked by staff’s lack of interest in making a stay enjoyable and inability to problem solve. The room is meant to be “sea view”, but looks out into a parking lot and marina. The room is outdated without water pressure or the usual toilettes expected at a Ritz. The room is dirty with fingerprints all over. The entire hotel is stinky with smoke. The pool is something from a cheap Las Vegas hotel with piped in loud music. The staff couldn’t care less about helping you, look bored, and the only time you’ll get their attention is if you break a rule by bringing your plastic terrible tasting cocktail. Literally 4 staff members came inside to reprimand me. The breakfast buffet was limited and the table I was seated at was not cleaned properly beforehand. The afternoon tea was more excuses about my diet restrictions until I spoke to a manager. However, Ouna-Marie, Director of Quality, takes pride in her job and was helpful in trying to provide proper customer service expected at a Ritz. The woman at the front desk at the spa, seems to take a bit more pride in her job as well, but the spa is outdated. From the beginning of my day at check-in to the evening has been more hassle excuses than I’ve EVER encountered at any hotel. What happened to luxury? If you have a choice of your hotel in Doha, DO NOT stay at the Ritz Carlton. This location is an embarrassment to the name. Trust me!! However, Oan
