My wife and I stayed at the Ritz Carlton Doha for 1 night and overall it was a nice hotel but first impressions were terrible. We were in Doha for a few nights staying at another hotel and we decided to stay here for our last night to try something different. My wife had never stayed in a Ritz property before so I thought it would be a change from the Mandarin Oriental we had just came from. Check in was slightly awkward. Few comments being made about only being there for one night....yes I know I booked it. Then we arrived to our room I had a call from reception to say there were prohibited items in my luggage which I have never encountered anywhere in the world. I was not only panicking but embarrassed by the situation as I had no idea what this could be. We had bought candles whilst shopping in the mall and put them in one of the cases. Even though they were gifts and wrapped up in shopping bags. The candles were a fire hazard and had to be taken out my suitcase and kept at reception. I felt like the staff could've handled this situation a bit better. The room we received was nice, there was a nice view of the marina and bed was comfortable. The service in the STK restaurant was good and we enjoyed the cocktail bar. If it wasn't for the terrible check in experience, I would've gave it a better review

My wife and I were here to celebrate a special anniversary. Firstly the initial welcome that we received was excellent and this was continued by Nour (Guest Service) who escorted us to the room, and mention must be given to the staff who arranged the room set up, very impressive. The hotel property is beautiful and all of the staff were on top of their game. Breakfast offering was first class with service to match. We visited the Spa for leisure facilities, this area was clean and relaxing. Please pass on special thanks to all of the staff in particular: Koni Kim (Director F&B) a very big special thank you Wafae, Adam, Eric & Saad at Lagoon Restaurant Cinta at Sel & Miel Restaurant Koll & Arjun at Men's Spa, Maha at Spa Reception To all staff, you are grand masters in hospitality and conviviality. We would love to return sooner rather than later.

We recently returned for the third time, and so look forward to returning again. We stayed in a one bedroom suite and it certainly does not disappoint. The hotel and staff are exceptional. We enjoyed the club lounge, very much, and the staff were ALL great but we had lots of interaction with the lovely Houda and Oussama. It was good to see Molka has been promoted. We enjoyed the lovely pool area, that is so organised by Bikash and his team, especially Majid. Mahfuz made us so welcome, with his towel creations, as we returned to our room. It is a luxury resort in every way, with high service levels and the friendliest staff, and we highly recommend a stay. Thank you ALL

We were at the ritz over the F1 weekend and the service was honestly impeccable. We travel all over the world to very top hotels and whoever is training the staff really deserves a commendation. Every single member of their team was friendly, welcoming and so helpful. The breakfast was wonderful and as a gym goer / body builder - the gym is epic!!! In the spa- a special shout out to Fanny. What a wonderful human being. From the moment I arrived in the spa after a long flight and my room wasn’t ready- she made me feel at home. I had a wonderful ginger tea and she ensured I had everything I needed from towels to a gown etc. As a business owner I have to stay - wow. She is a true asset to your team and for the guests and I will be sad to leave tomorrow. Thank you all - the stay has been 5*!!
