Summer Lodge

Service was exceptional the rooms are superbly decorated very spacious, quiet and comfortable. The outside grounds and surrounding area is lovely and we had a lovely time as well at their pub the Acorn .

We had a lovely relaxing Spa Experience. The facilities were very good and the team made us feel very welcome and relaxed. The gluten and dairy free Cream Tea was perfect.

We stayed for the weekend. It’s an absolutely amazing hotel. All of the staff are incredibly attentive. Hotel has a lovely atmosphere. Food in the restaurant stunning. Cannot fault it at all. The whole dining experience just wonderful. Lovely cosy bar areas. We had a beautiful and comfy room. Spa is also very relaxing. We will definitely return one day for another treat . This was our third visit .

A wonderful stay. The welcome was very kind. A notice about the current works so a diversion around the works in the village which was easy enough thank you for letting us know. Sarah deserves a special mention - one of the amazing gardeners. Sarah had just finished pruning the rose garden - it looked fabulous. Had a lovely walk around the grounds at sunset wonderful. Very much looking forward to our drinks in the bar and the lovely restaurant. 5 Stars - very happy. Thanks again to Sarah - excellent guest rapport, you have a special member of staff here.

We enjoyed a wonderful family stay this past weekend, nothing short of perfection. Very comfortable bedrooms so well equipped with extra large beds and luxurious bathrooms. To top it all, the delicious food provided at dinner will long stay in our memory. The staff and management gave such friendly and efficient service , it’s no surprise that Visit England chose it as The Small Hotel of the year in 2025.
