We had a family reunion (48 people) at this hotel and the experience was very good. It’s a small hotel which works perfectly for us because we all wanted to be together all the time, and having part of the family in their 80’s was a challenge, but the size of the hotel made that easy. The hotel is recently renovated; the rooms are beautiful and everything works as expected. The beach is super nice (perfect water temperature and soft sand). We got next to nothing sargassum, and I think it’s because the location within the island since the current takes the seaweed to the other side. The food can improve, but the truth is we are a foodie family and also for the price you pay, you expect this level of quality. Some food were better than others. The Greek restaurant was good, and the buffet was better some days than others. The Mexican and the Italian nights were the most challenging. They do know how to make slow cooked meats like curry, chicken and pork. That being said, people at the hotel were super accommodating and that definitely made the experience so much more memorable. MÃss Kim Young (the general manager) was amazing at trying to fulfill our requests of facilitating us with private spaces for our family to gather. Grafton who was in charge of restaurants did the same thing and for that we are very grateful. Juliette who is in charge of activities and entertainment, also spoiled us and did everything in her power to gives us moments and experiences we will treasure forever. Me and my family had a great time!

The resort reopened days before we checked in and every element of the hotel reflected the care taken to deliver an exceptionally high level of care under the leadership of Kim and her team. Rooms are elegantly furnished with good quality bedding and toiletries… all the restaurants hadn’t opened but Oistins restaurant served excellent food and drinks at each meal and even created a special goat curry for us one night! Great coffee and ice cream bar. Beach too rough for swimming. Best of all are the staff: kindly, truly welcoming and working haaaard to make guests feel at home. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel… thank you to the team for a wonderful holiday.

Don’t waste your money going to this hotel!!!!!! Staff will try to get a payday. They work with the police. This whole resort is a shady place.

I said to my wife after New Year we need to be re-energised and get some sun and say farewell to all our family at Turtle Beach. So 17th visit over 17 years, we were back for 10 nights. Jo Ann,Tanya and Karene and all of the staff, thank you once again for a superb stay. Food, drink, beach, entertainment and rooms fabulous. Maradonna the one and only, Beach Ambassador supremo, always there to please. After 17 years I thank you all for providing my wife and I and family members over the years, Jack and Emily, wonderful ,kind and efficient service, always. I used to arrive for two weeks exhausted, and take a week to unwind, then party, dive ,eat and drink too much. However I always went home reinvigorated, happy and positive to get back to slog and hard work. I am now retired and I chilled this time in minutes of drinking that first Turtle Beach Rum Punch. We all want to be there in your reopening fortnight and enjoy Turtle Beach hospitality. Please keep us posted, cannot wait.

We stayed as family of 8 in 3 rooms, ages 60-5 years old, over new year. We have stayed several times in Barbados, but first stay here. This one I would think will be lovely when its had the renovations, as it has loads of potential to be great, just wasn't whilst we were there. Rooms are big, food is hit and miss and new year Gala was the worst we have experienced, not just the food, but the entertainment. Found most of the staff unfriendly and disinterested, perhaps this is due to job losses whilst the renovations happen, but would look at renovating the staff too, if this is their normal happy! Beach is beautiful, but a lot of broken sun beds, evening entertainment was awful! We went out to eat several times as the choice of food was poor in the evenings, which defeats the point of going all inclusive. Hopefully when the works are completed it is bought up to standard advertised.
