Perfect family Holiday in the sun

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 9 hours ago

First time in Dubai, we were a family of 4 adults and 1 child, staying in two rooms on half board. We had a few questions prior to arrival which the hotel helpfully answered through Instagram and email. Our rooms were spotless on arrival, well equipped with everything we needed and we had a lovely view from our balcony (partial sea view room). Raju was fab, keeping our room stocked and spotlessly clean all week. The pools were all a lovely temperature, they were also clean and well looked after by the lifeguards. We didn’t go to the pool until later in the afternoon, as most of the beds around the family pool were full by the time we got there. However, they were actually full of people (not just towels) as their policy is not to allow people to save beds without using them, they remove towels if the people aren’t there which I liked ☺️. The food in the buffet restaurant was excellent all week, with plenty of choice. I can’t recommend Little Miss India and the Seagrill restaurants highly enough; both were delicious (you will probably need to book though as they were busy). Our favourite was Boldly Asian, which was also busy and definitely one to book. The beach was clean, with plenty of beds, lifeguards on duty all day (7-7 I think), and a nice little beach bar with waiters providing a quick service. Location, perfect! (Get the taxis if you want to sightsee, they are very reasonable).

Incredible room with a fantastic bathroom! The bed was superb i must say too. The outside pool area was fun to use, the beach area was very spacious with plenty of sun beds. The dining nice - the Seagrill and Boldly Asian restaurants were a highlights with a wide variety especially the breakfast. Overall i was happy to stay and would recommend.

Want to give a five star rating too rupei and tarik for a fantastic room service. They were so friendly and went out of their way to make our stay special and comfortable. The room was spotless every day and well stocked with coffee, tea and amenities.🥰 nothing was a problem, and if I asked for extra milk et cetera they would supply it. 👌

An honest fair review

Our first visit to Dubai as a family staying at the Fairmont Hotel at the Palm. We flew with Emirates and arrived midnight on Sunday. We had a private transfer to the hotel. Overall we had a great experience at the hotel with some great restaurants available to us. Our check in was smooth but unfortunately when we got to our room there was no bed for my 10 year old daughter. This took a little while to rectify. We found out midway through the holiday that if we became an Accor member that we would recive 30% off all food and drink prurchased across the hotel. We should have been told this at check in but only found this out on Thursday. This was disappointing as we had already spent quite a lot of money on food and drink up to this point. We did raise a complanht about this and we were orignally fobbed off. As the hotel couldnt go back on the previous transactions they offered us a further discount off the supplement for our last night meal at FREVO. If you are going to stay here make sure you become an accor member and show this to a member of staff when ordering food and drink or at the bilol stage. Food The hotel has a main restaurant that was under refurbishment at the time of our stay. They were using a makeshift area of the ball room. We stayed half board which was excellent value, this included the main restaurant for breakfast and dinner, and dinner needed to be booked. Breakfast was generally good with the normal cold and hot food available. There is pork sausages and bacon available but it is over by the toasters so make sure you dont miss this. There are chefs cooking eggs and omlettes and the normal pancake availbility. The pastries were beautiful. The service for coffees could be a bit hit and miss in the morning. Breakfast was served until 11. Evening meal in the main restaurant again provided a variety of foods available so ideal for a family, we ate there the first night and Thursday night. As you still have to book the restuarant didnt get too busy. What we did find though was the food was all of a luke warm temperature - we did speak to someone about this who was very apologetic and offered to get food hotter but we declined. The food was all very tasty by just quite cold. I am unsure if this isn't helped by the current refurb and makeshift restaurant. Also because the restuarant wasn't busy the food was sitting for a long time and not get eaten quickly, topped up etc. The restaurants here very much made up for the main restaurant experience. We dined at Miss India on the Tuesday night. As a half board guest we paid a supplement. The food was exceptional, my husband has the lamb chops which were immense. We followed this with Boldly Asian on Wednesday Denal served us, he was great. We had some fresh sushi, spring rolls to start and a combination of mains which included Chicken Ka Pao, Prawn Szechan and noodles. In all restaurants we had a half board 3 course optionh, we never made it to dessert very often !! We also visited the seagrill restaurant during lunchtime and had some beautiful salmon and lamb chops. In all of the restaurants the service and food quality were exceptional and I thought good value with the supplement option and the 30% off. We also sampled the in room service which was good value and got us away from the early afternoon heat. Pools There were 4 pool areas, a main family one in the middle, an adult option and 2 identical pools to the right and left hand side of the hotel. We tended to use the latter as these were not busy and you could always get a bed or cabana. The temperature whilst we stayed was hitting 40 degrees so unbearable after lunch. The beach was also beautiful. Gym - I used the gym, really good weights and cardio enabling me to carry out my normal workouts easily whilst there. There is also class options that are charged if you fancied this. We had a wonderful first time in Dubal and really appreciated the service of all staff in the hotel. We hope that with the improvements that the hotel are making that this will maximise the hotel to the 5 star it should be
