Atlantis, The Palm

A very disappointing birthday experience We booked one night at Atlantis The Palm specifically to celebrate our son’s 13th birthday, expecting a truly magical experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be quite the opposite. Despite the fact that this was a birthday celebration, we were unable to benefit from the offer allowing our son to invite his friends. The hotel’s application simply did not work, and after trying to resolve the issue, we were eventually told that we should have anticipated this and made arrangements in advance. Not exactly the level of service you would expect from a hotel of this standing. Then came the half-board package, which was another disappointment. We had breakfast and dinner included, but the various benefits were extremely restrictive. We could not use the 25% discount when we wanted during the day, nor could we use the AED 300 voucher at lunchtime or in the water park. In practice, it felt like we had paid for benefits that were extremely difficult to actually use. I have a discussion with the restaurant and the concierge and we have to ask before the term and conditions… In the end, we had to use the Fazaa application to get discounts for our son’s friend’s entry to the water park and for The Wave restaurant. Thanks Fazaa. For a family coming specifically to celebrate a child’s birthday, this was incredibly frustrating. Instead of making the occasion special, we spent far too much time trying to understand what we were actually entitled to and finding alternative solutions ourselves. Atlantis The Palm is an impressive hotel and the water park itself is fantastic, but the overall experience was far below what we expected for a birthday celebration and for a hotel of this price and reputation. What should have been a magical 13th birthday experience ultimately turned into a rather expensive and frustrating comedy of errors.

I don’t often write reviews but I felt compelled to write one after our 3 night stay at Atlantis The Palm. It was magnificent. The service, imperial club lounge amenities, the food, activities, cleanliness, room. Everything was outstanding from the moment they picked us up from the airport. We stayed as a family and booked the Terrace Suite, but were upgraded to the Skyline Suite which was superb. I must highlight the service. Every single person was friendly, warm and helpful - from the water park attendants, to lounge staff and restaurant waiters. I must call out the gentleman who heard my 3 year old had his birthday 3 days earlier and organised a cake and all the staff to sing happy birthday in the lounge. Highly recommend for those travelling with kids - everything is made easy. Kids club is excellent, kids menus everywhere and tons of activities.

Very polite staff. Our housekeeper, Al-Amin, was very friendly and did a very good job cleaning and preparing our room

'Was so amazing to eat here, feel me very welcoming and that's is a very great feelings! That service people and the Housekeeping are amazing that's is Kajol, Hazik, Sagah, Salah, Kaussar, Ritik, Lila, Maxon Gonsalves, Chaw Su, Dilowar, Ijas Cader, Pradip, Niranjan, Romany Nirzjan Chettri and many other too... and the two Manager Nurpulat and Brenda they are absolutely amazing person and they ask me for what / want to drink and all is fine on my table! It's my 3th stay in the Atlantis the Palm I love that Hotel so much!

The service was amazing and especially Aung for her work in our room. She is amazing!
