Bab Al Shams Desert Resort & Spa

I attended this magnificent restaurant as part of my “Desert Safari” experience. The evening was absolutely phenomenal, as we enjoyed the most sumptuous dining experience (my favourite was the seafood grilled fresh to order) and the most incredible entertainment including belly dancing, french singer, fantastic musicians, horse show and fire spectacular. The night was made even more special when the team sang happy birthday to me and spoilt me with extra attention and more cake. The buffet was 10/10 and the babousa was my highlight from the deserts. I will be attended again and strongly recommend this venue to all tourists wanting to experience a night of Arabian magic.

We visited place as we follow Chef Sneha and like whatever she puts on her plate. As suggested by the staff here Mr. Vilas we ordered angara chicken luknawi sheek kebab The food was on point Calcutta mutton briyani is must try We were celebrating our anniversary so the staff also got a cake for us.. over all amazing experience highly recommended 🥂🎉

We absolutely loved this resort - the aesthetic was just what we were hoping for, gorgeously understated elegance with superb attention to detail, magical lighting and charming staff who couldn’t do enough for you. We had booked a garden-facing room which I am sure we’d have loved, but were upgraded to a desert facing room with magnificent views of the dunes which made for a great start to our desert stay. Beautifully decorated, well-appointed and super comfortable it was perfect. The resort grounds and pool are immaculate and the pool attendants provide an excellent level of service, regularly bringing round complementary water, fruit and even ice lollies. We really enjoyed the falcon experience on the beach - the falcons were absolutely beautiful and the falconer was friendly and informative. We also took a nature walk on the dunes with a knowledgeable guide and saw numerous gazelles and all manner of tracks - sadly no giant lizards, but lots of information about the fauna that had left them and the flora which was surprisingly varied. During our three night stay we dined at three of the hotel restaurants - all very good (reviewed separately) and ate breakfast and lunch at Zala. The breakfast buffet was well presented and offered an excellent range of options - the serving staff were on top of their game too. Likewise lunch, whether eaten on the terrace or by the pool, was delicious. We really liked the lobby bar - especially in the evening when the discrete lighting created a lovely ambiance - the bar staff were delightful and the drinks impeccably prepared and presented. Bab Al Shams was everything we were dreaming of - the perfect spot for a stop over - we would go back in a flash
