Staying at the Burj Al Arab has been a major bucket list item for me since almost 10 years ago, when I first saw a documentary about it. For years, seeing pictures, I could only imagine what staying here must really look like. 10 years later, I couldn't be happier to have checked off my bucket list at the Burj Al Arab, which was an amazing experience, beyond my wildest dreams! The foremost shoutout has to go to the people and their standard of service, which was attentive, prompt but discreet. From bubble bath set-up, to organizing restaurant bookings and Ubers, to buggy tours around the area for the best photography spots (along with a photoshoot), there wasn't any request that the service team could not fulfil. Any communication with the staff was seamless, via the e-concierge, as well as our dedicated 24/7 butler stationed on each floor of the hotel. Where I conveyed any request directly to the staff, it was fulfilled promptly. Particularly impressed how the service staff went above and beyond on multiple occasions. Organizing an evening buggy tour for photography spots, for instance, was typically done during the daytime, but the hotel specially organized a night photography session for me. As for my butler, apart from preparing a bubble bath for me while I was out for night photography, he made it a point not just to turn down the room, but tidied up my workstation by organizing my charging cables, devices etc. While some people do not like this, for me, such small gestures epitomize service - doing something nice or good even if it may not be noticed. Even before and after checkout, I had full access to the hotel's facilities and the concierge service, with my requests seen to and coordinated for me. Absolutely incredible. Then of course, we have the room and its package inclusions. The Club Suite I was assigned, on the 19th floor, was a sunset-view Club Suite, and boy was it OVER THE TOP amazing! Not just the sheer size of the room - more like a MANSION than anything - but also the regal, Arabian luxury-style furnishings, floor to ceiling windows, the ping pong table, the glorious 360-degree unblocked view of the Arabian gulf. Just an overall incredible space, perfect for enjoying and having quiet moments of focus (which I did, staying in the Suite alone). Just how much can a 1-bedroom suite be elevated? I think Burj Al Arab has the best answer to date! With the room, a half-board was included in my package. Dinner at the L'Olivo Restaurant - a smart elegant, 2 Michelin Star affair - was absolutely phenomenal. You can tell the passion the staff have for their offerings, and I enjoyed every bite of it. Be sure to add half board to your room package - you will NOT regret it. Apart from this, I think the hotel did so well in terms of privacy and exclusivity. While there certainly were tourists coming in for tours (and apparently things get more crowded during winter), I never once found myself disturbed during my stay here. All guest floors are card-key accessible only, and typically were very quiet. The soundproofing of my Suite helped even more. All in all, throughout my stay here (albeit a short one), I simply could not find anything that I'd possibly fault or penalize. Out of 10 points, I'd give my stay 100 points. But if I may offer any suggestions at all, to bring the experience even closer to perfection, they would be as follows: 1) Wall-mounted shower head was positioned slightly awkwardly, too close to the wall, and immovable. Might be a bit inconvenient for people using it, as they might bump their heads 2) The inclusions and exclusions of the room package should be communicated with absolute certainty during check-in. While dinner was covered in my room package, L'Olivo originally told me it wasn't and charged me. Was still happy to pay for the meal, but it was a slightly rude shock to me (until this was later clarified by the concierge). Other than this, there is nothing I can really complain about. Thinking back on the 1 night I stayed, it really was nothing but bliss. For a bucket list item, it did NOT disappoint in any way. Look forward to coming back again, and hopefully for many more times!

Had the most relaxing experience at the Talise Spa at Burj al Arab. From the moment you step in to the moment you step out you are being pampered from head to toe. The staff makes sure to cater to any wish you may request. The facilities are well maintained. You’d surely end up visiting again.

Nice place and view but if you want to dine in any restaurant, try to make reservation ahead of time specially for dinner or otherwise the guard at the gate will not let you inside.
