Dukes The Palm, a Royal Hideaway Hotel

I asked for ice to be told I have to pay for it this is not A 5 star hotel more like 3 star hotel never before have I been asked to pay for ice

Excellent hotel for the value, lovely private beach and infinity pool, great staff and service, could be faster at serving tea and coffee at breakfast

Great hotel to stay when in Dubai. Staff are friendly and room s are very clean . Would strongly recommend to travellers who are looking for a good hotel

For us sadly it was not a great experience. The Dukes is looking a tad tired with outdated distressed rooms and in need of a refresh. The grand entrance is fabulous but after that it’s falls short. The staff are the leading light and are accommodating and excellent. The bars and restaurants are ok but lack a vibe and atmosphere …for example the champagne bar is bereft of character and overpowered by the stale cigar odour from the Whisky and Cigar bar. The beach bar and beach are superb.The British Restaurant has seen better days and the choice of food was ok but not amazing. The rooms are tired when we’re were checked in at 3am the room was in a stare stained carpets chipped furniture, but we were upgraded to a studio but the quality was lacking and the age showing. Overall it was an ok stay but we had higher expectations.

Poor service , dirty hotel , breakfast tables filthy , mats at the tables had food on them , room stunk of musty sweat , poor service
