Reviews for Jumeirah Mina A'Salam

Super nice escape week during a grey Hamburg January :-)

We had an excellent stay at Jumeirah Mina A Salam. The hotel is well organised and the staff are professional. The breakfast had an amazing selection and sitting on the terrace was a great start to the day. We enjoyed the gym which was included. They offered several classes where we met cool trainers. Very inspiring. The sun loungers on the beach are great, a nice place to spend a few hours. A special thank you goes to our housekeeper Riduan, I have never had a cleaner and better organised room in my life. Thank you for going the extra mile Riduan.

A Truly Memorable Family Experience at Mina A’ Salam

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 weeks ago

We recently stayed at Jumeirah Mina A’ Salam as a family of 17 and were absolutely impressed by every aspect of our experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed and genuinely cared for. The entire team made sure each member of our large family—from the youngest to the eldest—felt comfortable, valued, and pampered. The hotel’s elegant Arabian architecture, the breathtaking views of the sea and Madinat waterways, and the easy access to the beach created a magical atmosphere. The spacious rooms, exquisite dining options, and world-class hospitality exceeded all our expectations. Special thanks to the guest relations team for accommodating all our needs seamlessly and always with a smile. We never felt like guests; we felt like part of a well-loved story unfolding within the resort. We returned home with hearts full of gratitude and minds full of unforgettable memories. Looking forward to our next visit already!

A Jem but don’t wander too far from your beach area

We’ve not been back to the resort in a couple of years, partly because we’ve been exploring other parts of the world, but it was so nice to be ‘home’! The hotel has been modernised and re-updated since we were last there. The welcome is warm the staff are brilliant. In particular Francesca in the lounge as well as Bernard who worked in the lounge were so attentive. By the pool, Abbasi make sure we were well looked after every time we visited. The food is sublime. Some of our friends were staying at Jumeirah Beach Hotel and after a visit to the waterpark, we decided to sit on the beach in front of Jumeirah Beach Hotel. A member of staff came over and because we said we were at another hotel they asked us to leave. We said that we were just sitting and not using any of the amenities and they threatened to call security. Residence of the entire resorted to be honest, this wasn’t made clear to us that we weren’t able to visit the other hotels. This was rude and threatening to call security when we were a residence of one of the hotels in the resort was a bit much.

Hotel denies responsibility for mistakes, employees are unprofessional. This ruined our vacation.

I don’t want to write bad reviews, but I‘ve been in personal contact with the assistant guest relations manager and ended up with no comparison for the issues during our stay and no response to my last email. It was our second visit at Mina Al Salam and unfortunately our recent stay couldn’t live up to our last one. We booked the same Arabian Deluxe room like last time but ended up with a completely different room. Last time we enjoyed the view over Madinat Jumeirah in a room with a big balcony and lots of light. This time, our room was on the 1st floor facing the street and there was almost no daylight, making the space feel small and unwelcoming. The room and views looked different from the pictures on the website. Last time, we received a welcome drink, and dates and macarons were waiting in the room for us. This time? Nothing at all. Same appeared with housekeeping. Last time, they came twice a day and did a beautiful job. This time, during our entire 3 day stay, housekeeping came only ONE single time and only because we pushed the „please make up room“ button because when we came back from the beach at 4PM and wanted to shower, still no housekeeping had been there and we had no fresh towels. We assume, the reception forgot to tell housekeeping that the room is occupied because they simply didn’t seem to know we were staying there. The WiFi didn’t work in our room, I texted the reception twice, the issue couldn’t be fixed. Another issue was that 80% of the hotel guests were families with small, screaming kids. A baby screamed in one of the neighbor rooms and kept us awake at night. Having breakfast in peace was impossible. Also, the tables were way too close to each other. It would be helpful to separate families from couples so that one can enjoy their breakfast in peace. Same occurs to the beach - screaming kids all day. Overall, the hotel should rename to a family resort so couples get the right impression before booking. There is no quiet place for guests seeking relaxation. Next issue was that the hotel was so packed that literally every single day our request to have a breakfast table or a sun bed by the water was declined. Not once we could enjoy the view. At the beach, we were promised to be informed when a sun bed near the water becomes free, but the employee who promised that forgot about us and gave the space to new guests. Also, one beach employee advised us to the wrong sun beds which were already occupied by other guests who had just been gone for a while. One of them started arguing with the supervisor when they came back and saw us laying there and we had to identify the employee who’d given us the wrong sun bed. You see, relaxation was nowhere to be found. One day at breakfast there was a lady occupying a table next to us that already had been advised to a couple. The lady refused to leave the space and it led to about 10 staff members standing around and watching while the restaurant manager (I think? Dark blue suit) grabbed her bag and phone and removed them. A loud argument between the manager and the woman started next to us and we felt so uncomfortable that we decided to leave the restaurant mid-breakfast. You should think, we booked at a five star hotel, not a kindergarten. When I got up from my chair, the manager almost ran over me as he hurried through the overcrowded restaurant in inappropriate speed to bring the couple new napkins and cutlery. I literally had to jump to the side and he didn’t even apologize! That was so rude and the whole situation was handled unprofessionally and with minor indiscretion. The constant noise, the bad room and the lack in organization and service made it impossible for us to relax. We are very disappointed with the value for our money and can’t imagine to visit the hotel again. Despite the fact that I communicated that repeatedly, all the hotel offers us is an upgrade for our „next stay“, a partial refund was declined. We paid the full price for half of the performance. What do I want with an upgrade if the hotel messed up so badly they drew us away for good? See the irony?

Amazing first stay at this beautiful hotel. We have booked a sea view with the club room access. Beds are beautiful Restaurants amazing Buffet breakfast is delicious with so much choice! The Amal lounge has been lovely for afternoon tea and cocktails and canapés each evening. Trishna welcomed us every day and her lovely team Louison and Fanny. All lovely and helpful! The lounge is worth booking!
