Jumeirah Mina A’Salam, is a luxuriously charming boutique style hotel, offering authentic Arabian experiences on a beach front location, with family friendly service. All of our accommodations are spacious and beautifully furnished...featuring private balconies overlooking the sea. Our location is situated on the golden sands, and among the palm trees of Jumeriah beach...overlooking the waterfront of the Jumeriah Madinat waterside complex, and the uncompromised views of the Burj Arab.

Fantastic weekend stay in this amazing hotel. Have visited many Jumeirah Hotels around the world but this is one of the best, surpassed all expectations. Check-in was fast and efficient despite it being busy and hotel occupancy high, shout out to Muzeyyen on reception who was fantastic in checking me in and gave a nice warm welcome as a Jumeirah Silver member. Kudos to you! I had a sea facing room on a high floor which was special. Room is big as well as the balcony. Bed is big and comfy and you get 6 massive pillows! Breakfast also fantastic. Huge choice and lots of healthy options. The J Club Gym and facilities is also exceptional. Would highly recommend!

Stayed for 4 nights as part of a fortnights holiday in Dubai. Like to experience different locations with areas inside to walk about in the heat. This is my favourite hotel in Dubai mainly as it’s on the best stretch of beach. The feeling I get is like I’ve come home every time I visit the beach. Had an Arabian club room overlooking the Al Naseem hotel with a Burj al Arab view. Prefer this view to Ocean view rooms. Love the rooms. Bed is so big and comfy. You do have a hike from the lift to your room but you get your daily steps in. Just came to totally chill for a few days and didn’t venture outside the Madinat complex. You have the souk to walk about with enough small shops and restaurants to keep you occupied for a few days. This was the first time we had stayed in a club room with access to the Amal lounge. While really lovely I was a tad disappointed with the choices of food and drinks available in the lounge. Not quite as I had imagined and not as nice as the other two hotels we stayed in during this holiday with club lounge access. There were no cocktails I would have chosen and the only mocktail I wanted on the menu they had stopped doing so basically Pepsi. The one hot food canopy in the evening could have been dispensed with totally. The staff were really nice and attentive. You could also have drinks etc at the Cala Vista pool in the evening instead but the choice of drinks was even worse. We tried the Cala Vista pool on day one and that was enough. The beach is far nicer in my opinion. Over the years of visiting this hotel I’ve never been drawn to this pool. Mainly because it’s shallow and hot. You get a bit of a breeze at the beach and more feeling of space. Now since it’s been renamed and upgraded? to be called Cala Vista access is restricted to club room and suites and paying for the day. I think the infinity pool on the beach in front of the hotel feels nicer and deeper and big enough for swimming if you wanted to. There’s also Italian songs playing on a loop. Just not relaxing especially when a bit of drilling is added into the mix. The beach toilets were also out of use and you had to walk a lot further to find an alternative one. We had breakfast in the main buffet restaurant each day. Stunning choices of foods and levels of display. Lovely to look at even though I’d chose the same stuff each day. The chairs and curtains have been upgraded etc and Tortuga restaurant is now within here. I like the hotels location as it’s central for walking and exploring the other Jumeirah hotels. Nice seeing the new Marsa al Arab hotel and pools. The choice of pools you can use is restricted year on year too even though late morning there were more life guards than guests around each pool some days. Never seen the hotels so quiet at this time of year. Each year there seems less and less choices of restaurants open in the summer. Don’t know if it’s because there are so many alternative hotels now and they are too quiet to run? Hope to return next year too.

We have been staying at Mina A’Salam and Jumeirah Beach Hotel for around 23 or 24 years, and this visit continued to offer many memorable experiences, though there were a few areas for improvement. When I tried to book, I was disappointed that I had to go through a tour company (best@travel) and the Jumeriah website/I also called, would not match the price. Our room (122) was fantastic—spacious, beautifully maintained, and featured a huge balcony that let in plenty of natural light, which we really loved compared to last time when the room felt quite dark. A big thank you to the receptionist for giving us such a lovely room. Housekeeping was brilliant, with both morning and afternoon service keeping everything spotless and well-stocked. They even remembered my request and left a mini cake for us to enjoy. The pool area was lovely and very relaxing, with the staff working hard to provide towels, water, and assistance with a smile. However, I was disappointed that smoking was allowed by the pool at the Mina A’Salam, which detracted from the otherwise peaceful atmosphere. Another letdown was that we couldn’t use all the pools during our stay. Last year at Al Naseem, we enjoyed access to the adults-only pool, but this year we were not allowed in and were even sent away, which was quite embarrassing. The gym was outstanding! They offer a wide variety of machines, massage beds, squash courts, an ice room, sauna, and steam room. What really impressed us was that staff come around with free shots/protein bars while you work out, plus there’s mineral water, towels, and even bananas available. The gym is truly top-notch. We were also very impressed with the four buffet restaurants across the Jumeirah resorts. Each offered a wide and delicious selection of dishes, catering well to different tastes and dietary needs. The quality and variety of food were outstanding. That said, there were a few disappointments. The sofa bed in our room was too soft for my 5 11 -foot-tall son, and he woke up each morning with back pain. I did ask if they could change the mattress, and they kindly did, but unfortunately, it was still too soft for an adult. Communication was also an issue. I asked in the WhatsApp group chat whether two of us could have the half-board dinner plan and transfer one dinner option to breakfast. The reply kept saying I needed to forward the request to reception, but by the time this was resolved, it was too late to make any changes. Lastly, we were very disappointed not to be allowed to dine at Pai Thai. As a vegan family, we don’t eat the expensive meat or seafood options that usually incur the surcharge. I even offered to pay one supplement for my son, but the staff refused. In previous years, this had never been an issue, and the policy change felt unnecessarily strict and disappointing. Overall, this is a beautiful resort with excellent service, outstanding food, and great attention to cleanliness and comfort. With a few adjustments to flexibility and communication, it would be even better. Aside from the above, we will be back next year.

We had an amazing stay in June at Mina Al Salam our 8th time staying (16th time staying at Madinat Jumeriah) and 2nd time this year as we had stayed in January as well. We were greeted as we arrived at the hotel and taken to reception we were given Lemon Mint welcome drinks. Our room was available early, we had a Jumeriah Gold member voucher for a room upgrade. We had a lovely sea view room 211. Beautiful views of the water ways, the beach and also Burj Al Arab. We were checked into our room by Tatyana actually in the room. She was lovely efficient and chatty. We got checked into our room super quickly. Just love coming to this hotel as it’s you definitely feel like your in the Middle East with the decor. The staff are so lovely. Special mention of Raju who is at the Abra station he helps me on to the Abra in the morning as I have twisted me knee. I would also like to mention how amazing the girls in Al Samar lounge are. Very efficient chatty and friendly especially Cindi and Hanna, also another girl but I forgot to write her name down. We went to the lounge every evening before dinner or after dinner. There is two male musicians that come regularly and play Arabic music. Brings a great atmosphere to the lounge. In our room there was like tea loaf set out for us it was absolutely delicious. We had 3 different types. Thank you for this. Made us feel a bit special. We dinned at Cala Vista twice it’s an amazing restaurant. We found out that you can walk along the hallway to get to the restaurant without going outside in the hot humid heat. Very handy as on one of the visits we walked outside to the restaurant. The humidity got me unfortunately my hair and makeup suffered 😂 It was great to get into the air conditioning restaurant. (Seperate reviews for all the restaurants we visited) Summer came earlier this year. We unfortunately didn’t manage to go Shimmers as it was just to hot and humid. Lovely breakfast selection at Hannya, great service from the staff they remember what we drink in the morning. We also went to Hannya one evening for dinner. I had amazing date pudding with the sticky toffee sauce and ice cream oh my it was delicious. We are back again in September. Wayne and Gail Dunbar
