A lovely week in the sun.

Stayed here for 1 week during the summer holidays. 2 adults and 1 child. Half board with 2 hours free drinks (Sunset Cocktails). Just want to state the staff here were amazing. Everybody so friendly and helpful. The pools were lovely. The half board was absolute quality (especially one night where they paid for our transport to have a meal at their sister hotel on The Palm). Only 2 minor negatives.... - Room was a bit dated and the key kept failing to work. Meaning a long walk to reception to get a new key most days. - Some staff were not very forthcoming with service during the 2 hour Sunset Cocktails. I felt like I shouldn't order another drink too soon :) The grounds were substantial and so green. The gym was decent and being able to use the pool at the Arabian Court was nice too for a change of scenery. Hope to visit your hotel again soon.

Overall very good but some areas for improvement

We've just returned from 7 nights at the Palace hotel of this resort. There were lots of positives about this hotel, and we had a lovely stay. However, there are a few things that could transform the stay from 'good' to 'excellent'. Firstly, the resort is really stunning. It's huge - I mean really huge. You can get buggies around, and there are many of them. We didn't have to wait more than about 4 mins to get one. You can walk along the seafront from one end of the resort but it can be hot! We stayed in the Palace hotel which is one of the most popular so it's busier and more family-orientated. The pool is enormous and has a good mix of depth so you can happily swim with younger children. The Arabian Court hotel, where the kids club is, requires a 10 min walk or a buggy to get to. The pool there has a slide, which the kids love and a large shallow area though the pool overall is smaller. We decided to upgrade a bit to the Manzil rooms which has dedicated lifts, a concierge, afternoon tea and happy hour. Given a glass of wine on site is around £18, this upgrade can be worthwhile. The concierge service was underwhelming and the afternoon tea was just a few things laid out on a table so we didn't go back. The room was smaller than expected, and was dated. The balcony is very small - just a table and two chairs that couldn't move due to the space. There was one large wardrobe with a few drawers - OK for a week but for 3 people would have been tight for any longer. The bathroom was small but well equipped. Cleaning was good - it was pretty spotless in the room. Aircon didn't work brilliantly - it didn't get below about 22 degrees, despite trying to adjust it every day. The bed mattress was a bit too soft and springy for me - by the last couple of days I had back ache and my husband said the same. The view from the room was over the pool, and it was pretty quiet. It was nice to wake up to the birds singing. Food at the resort was very good. Breakfast was lovely - more so if you could get a coveted tables outside (they need more) and there was the added fun of the hawk present every morning. We used the kids club most days and they deserve a special mention - the staff were lovely, and the activities they create are wonderful. From tie dye tshirts to dress a bear, to pumpkin carving, to splash and play in the pool, to pizza making with the resort chef - it was all excellent. Overall, we had a lovely week but some small changes would make us return.

Visiting the hotel with my friends was truly impeccable. The service stood out, especially thanks to Ms. Poppy, who was knowledgeable and attentive without being intrusive. Our tea and coffee were refilled promptly, and the live harpist provided a perfect, relaxing backdrop for our conversation. While the price point is on the higher side, it’s understandable given that the hotel is a luxury establishment. The quality of the food and the refined experience make it well worth the splurge for a special occasion.

A phenomenal break away!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

I stayed at The One and Only (Arabian court) in June this year. My 4 year old son and I had a 5 day break and loved it so much we’ve come back less than 6 months later. The rooms are spacious and modern. I’m a tad OCD with cleanliness and I happy with the standard at this resort. There is a broad range of cuisines and a great breakfast buffet. When I need respite, the Kid’s club keeps my son entertained. The staff engage effortlessly with my child. One both visits we’ve met Hillarry - an absolutely outstanding member of staff! She keeps us in the loops about local events as well as activities in the hotel. She also makes sure my son is eating well and ensures he eats his fruit with a reward of a baby cappuccino at the end. Second time around we’re staying at The Palace and I have found my experience to be better at Arabian Court - from the food to the organisation of the staff. We also enjoyed the private beach. Highly recommend.
