The Ritz-Carlton, Dubai International Financial Centre

I have been staying at The Ritz-Carlton DIFC for the past two months, and my experience has been truly exceptional. I really love the room and the overall hotel atmosphere—it feels like a home away from home. I would especially like to appreciate Ammar, the housekeeping staff, for his outstanding service. Ammar is extremely professional, polite, and attentive to every detail. He always ensures that my room is perfectly clean, well-organized, and comfortable. His consistency, dedication, and warm attitude make a big difference in my stay.

The Ritz-Carlton DIFC is a modern hotel located in Dubai's financial district: very convenient for business, less so for leisure. At present, there's a lot of building work going on nearby, so the views aren't beautiful and the traffic can be a bit difficult to negotiate. But the sound-proofing is excellent, so it shouldn't disturb you and there are good connections on foot to all parts of the financial centre. Our room, on one of the "Club" levels, was very large and in good condition, with a big bed, two sofas and vast amounts of storage, mainly in drawers. The only small gripe would be that the power points are not well-situated, with none at all on one side of the bed. The bathroom was also enormous, with a loo, bidet, bath, separate shower and two sinks. We were very comfortable there, and slept well. The hotel has several restaurants, but we ate only in the Club Lounge, which provides a very good light breakfast and other food and drink through the day. There is a spa with an indoor pool - not tried - and a rooftop pool on the connected residences block where my wife relaxed for a while. Service was excellent - unobtrusive most of the time but very helpful and courteous when needed.

This was an extremely underwhelming stay and generally a surprisingly big letdown for a 5-star hotel with the quality of Ritz-Carlton. It's difficult to pinpoint exactly what was off so much, whether it's the old decor or the mass-market vibe and energy of the place. Our room was probably one of the worst rooms we could have gotten. The shower wasn't working properly. The entry and exit of the lobby and other floors was difficult to fold from a hard product perspective. It was really not to the quality that I expected and would normally expect out of a high-end brand like Ritz-Carlton. All in all, central location. However, at the price point that we were staying at, which was much higher than it should have been, the expectations were also set much higher. There are better high-end luxury hotels of this category scattered around Dubai, including the DIFC. Therefore, not anywhere close to a good Ritz-Carlton experience, I'm sorry to say.

We stayed at the Ritz Carlton Residences for 21 days and had a lovely experience. The staff were very courteous and the housekeeping team made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed, especially a gentleman named Tahla. He went above and beyond to make sure we felt right at home, we are thankful to him for making our stay comfortable and memorable! Thank you to the Ritz Carlton team for a pleasant stay!

Service is excellent. Tyara at executive lounge is so sweet and helpful. Very impressive at our last afternoon in the hotel. We will definitely come and stay here again when come to Dubai again.
