A niche 4 star hotel for a specific fitness audience. Not luxury.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 18 hours ago

set expectations correctly, this is not a 5 star or luxury hotel. it is an interesting niche hotel catering to health and fitness, which is interesting, but do not expect great service or luxury. Good things: I stayed in a fitness suite with a treadmill and bike and weights, it was spacious and comfortable, it was quiet, it was clean, the bed was good. the gym in the hotel is very good, unfortunately open to the public members and gets a bit crowded at times with a few people filming their workouts/fitness journeys. the cafe on level 30 was good, with nice healthy food to choose from and friendly staff. The infinity pool on the roof of the cantilevered building was large and not too crowded, with good/slow service. there was a convenience store on the ground, which was good as getting things for the room was otherwise difficult given the location. Bad things: the location is poor, its in an interesting building in the middle of nowhere, with no access to public transport and reliance of uber/taxi and the waits can be long. so to leave is difficult at times, and you feel trapped in the hotel. the breakfast offering provided to me was a voucher system for a cafe on the ground floor (the hotel starts on level 30) the cafe on the ground floor was equivalent to Starbucks and had limited food selections and poor / slow service who screwed up my order. its pretty bad. the fact that a hotel has ONLY ONE ELEVATOR to go from ground to level 30 is bizarre. That elevator is slow and often crowded. what would they do if it broke down? the front of house service is really poor, when I arrived there was someone at the front entrance, who directed me down a corridor where there was no one at the reception area marked 'siro' and I had to ask some stranger where to go and access the hotel on level 30. then the check in experience was strange, as if it was the first time they had seen a guest. the management later apologised for all this, which was nice and I appreciated it, but it doesn't give you a great experience. Getting your room serviced was a challenge, and they kept restocking my room with lots of decaf coffee pods, at one point I had 12 pods. I dont drink decaf and had told them this? the room had its bathroom area and wardrobe area combined, which was strange. overall, I liked the fitness components and the spacious fitness suite and gym. but this is not a 5 star hotel and should not position itself as such. its a niche 4 star hotel for a specific audience.

Unmatched Views , Top Tier Everything

Easily the best gym I've trained in. The view alone is worth the membership — floor-to-ceiling glass with the whole skyline in front of you, and it hits differently at sunset. Doing cardio up there doesn't feel like a chore. The equipment is top tier and immaculately maintained, and the place never feels crowded. Staff are a big part of why I keep coming back: professional, genuinely attentive, and they remember your name and your routine without being pushy. The trainers know what they're talking about. The crowd is serious and well put together — a lot of professionals who train properly and respect the space. Changing rooms and recovery facilities are spotless. Worth every dirham. Mr Rashid Hussain from Housekeeping maintains the Men’s Changing Room Spotless and is always making me feel at home with his welcoming Smile.

Rashid Hussein was in charge of housekeeping, he did an amazing job cleaning up the room and providing whatever it is that we needed. Made our stay so much better.
