We only had one night at this lovely hotel. As a titanium member, upgrade was minimal, room small and no view to speak of, and no welcome note from management which I always think makes a difference, but location is central and within 3 minutes walk to great restaurants, transport, tourist attractions and more. The fitness centre is ok, with an orientation map needed to find it, great pool, and the bars give the feeling of exclusivity. Most of all the staff are amazing. Every member, from doorman, reception, restaurant staff, and more are professional, accommodating, and friendly. And to top things off, I did a trip in the foyer as we were leaving and my greatest injury was my pride, but the staff were marvellous in their care and concern. This is a very special hotel, not because of the bricks and mortar, but the staff that set a standard hard to match by other five star hotels. It’s worth making this the absolute must stay location in Dublin, purely because the staff and their care and dedication are the difference.

All I can say is WOW!!! What a wonderful hotel and experience. This iconic hotel does not disappoint. I stayed at the Shelbourne in October/November 2024. The hotel is elegant, you feel special as soon as you walk in the front door. From the doorman to the check out and everyone in between at the Shelbourne, you are welcomed in such a beautiful Irish way. The tea service is the best I've ever enjoyed. So upscale & exquisite. The rooms are so warm and comfortable. Dinner in the Saddle room was amazing and breakfast each morning there had so many choices. The location is perfect on St. Stephens Green. It is walking distance to Grafton Street for some wonderful shopping and mingling with the locals. We took a horse and buggy ride, the driver was so knowledgeable, and the ride was fantastic. If you are visiting Dublin, I recommend the Shelbourne.

Always exceptional. The staff is the very best. On numerous occasions they have gone above and beyond to make my stay better. I would never stay anywhere else in Dublin.

I was deeply disappointed with the Shelbourne Hotel in Dublin ….from the cold and drab lobby to the poor quality of views from this very expensive rooms …For a great deal of money they didn’t even include breakfast. After 12 days touring Ireland and staying in really lovely and accommodating places that always included breakfast this hotel was a real let down on the way home. But, the rest of Ireland was great…save your money.

I would describe our experience at the Shelbourne as a 10 in every way. It began with the great sevice from the tophated doorman who escorted us into the lobby. He proceeded to show us around by pointing out the dining room, bar, front desk and consierge. The front desk staff at check in were quite welcoming and warm. Our suite was over the top beautiful with an enormous living room and a marble bathroom. The bedroom included plush bathrobes and slippers. The room also had a very nice view of St. Stephens Green across the street. The consierge was quite helpful by arranging a tour of Guiness at the last minute. He also made an excellent dinner suggestion for a pub nearby with music. We found the No.27 bar quite lovely for an afternoon cocktail before an evening out. The breakfast buffet was spectacular with an extensive variety of offerings. This was a great way to start our day in Dublin. The Shelbourne is Irish Elegance at it's best.
