I love to travel to Dublin and when I do, my go-to hotel is The Shelbourne. I was first introduced to the hotel as a little girl when my Irish- American Dad took me there for lunch. Now, as an Irish American traveling to Dublin for both business and vacation, I love to stay there as a guest. There is a charm and history to this hotel that you rarely find. The rooms are wonderful and the beds are super comfortable. There's a fantastic indoor pool that I love to swim at. Other treats include the food and the excellent private bar for guests! The customer service and the staff are 5 star all the way. Special thanks to Patrick the Concierge. Finally, the location of the hotel is without peer. I enjoy starting the day with a walk in St. Stephen's Green Park. Museums, the National Library of Ireland and shopping on Grafton Street are just a short walk away. Great location. The customer service was friendly, accommodating, and timely. My sister and her husband had a wedding celebration. Most of my family live in Dublin. The celebration was wonderful. The food was excellent, service was great and the atmosphere beautiful . We all enjoyed ourselves. I enjoyed the spa. They were very accommodating to my needs.

We have just spent 3 nights in Dublin and overall our stay was great we loved the position and ambience of the hotel . 99% of the staff were exceptional so friendly and helpful we couldn’t fault them . We ate in the Saddle Room a couple of times and the food was excellent, although we did hear someone strongly complaining about the vegan option they had had , we had meat and fish dishes and they were excellent, and the cheese tray was superb I just wished I d asked where they had got the crackers from I ve looked since and can’t find them anywhere There is just a couple of gripes we had with hotel and they were with our room the bed was very hard and the worse thing of all was the toilet seat it was a cheap plastic affair that has been fitted to a porcelain toilet of a completely different shape and size and it moved every time you used the toilet. For the price of the room we expected something better having the previous weekend spent the weekend in a Marriott hotel in Bristol the two faults with both hotels exactly the same , the Bristol hotel being a seventh of the price of the Shelbourne we were expecting better . Are beds and toilets a Marriott thing we will report back!!

The staff was exceptional. My friend was experiencing an unforeseen medical issue that had us worried. The front desk found a walk-in clinic, called on our behalf and ordered a taxi for us. The doctor was topnotch and our vacation was saved.
