Extremely welcoming and professional from the moment of arrival to departure. All staff were charming and pleasant and accommodation was outstanding. Although a very grand and historic hotel, the staff were very genuine and welcoming

Although I had a short one night stay while passing through Dublin, I always choose the Shelbourne because of the welcoming embrace offered by the staff. While the hotel is an exceptional 5 star property, the attitude is not at all stuffy or formal, but rather warm and delivered in a stunningly elegant space that I love. I also always know that the staff will make themselves available to help me with anything I need - it’s nice being cared while engaging in travel that can be exhausting. Thank you, as always, for a wonderful experience!

“It met all our expectations. Best hotel we have stayed in ROI by a country mile. It was a special hotel for a special occasion (St Valentine's Day) and seeing the Ireland rugby team leave for the Aviva before going to the match was the icing on the cake!” CDB 52

“Remarkable experience from the moment we arrived Greeted by friendly yet professional doormen Accommodated with an extra early check in and the process was seamless The bedrooms are sublime and the best sleep ever in the cosiest beds and luxurious linen We thoroughly enjoyed the bar upstairs and each member of staff went above and beyond the call of duty to make our stay memorable Highly recommend and we will definitely be back soon This is above 5 star in my opinion. I feel exceptional customer experience when entering a 5 star establishment is the key to making a lasting impression These days there is an expectation from customers around food, amenities and cleanliness to be of a certain standard but humans can be a little more inconstant when delivering and contributing towards a certain 5 star feeling The Shelbourne has this down to a fine art While I was observing the staff, the respect for one another and guests, the synergy was effortless & the discreet flow was an absolute joy to watch and be in the receiver ship of Well-done from start to finish it was sensational.”

I booked this as a birthday treat for my husband with Ryan in reservations. Thank you Ryan for your help. We booked 2 nights on a Shelbourne Escape package which included breakfast and car parking. On arrival, our car was promptly looked after and our luggage brought in. Check in welcome was excellent and we went to see our room 442. A beautiful room overlooking St Stephen's Green, cosiest bed and lovely bathroom. We had drinks in 1824 private residents lounge, two fantastic bar tenders who were very friendly and professional. Breakfast was 5 star plus, excellent selection of juices ( I sampled some of the special healthy ones, extra charge but worth it). You can order from the breakfast menu, omelettes, egg benedict and pancakes. All delicious. Jessica served us on the first morning and she was very efficient. Shane greeting the guests was A star, and very friendly. We of course decided to have Afternoon tea in the Lord Mayors Lounge. Served by Alana, this was an afternoon tea I will remember fondly. The sandwiches, scones, banana bread and pastries were all delicious. Service is excellent and the ladies serving had great knowledge of their teas, shout out also to Roisin. I bought the sweet nana tea after enjoying it so much. Karl the concierge would warm your day with his lovely smile as he meets and greets the guests. Padraig was the first person we spoke to on arrival and he was very welcoming. Adam one of the supervisors also was very helpful. Peter, the concierge got his photo taken with us and lovely to chat to. The hotel is a short walking distance to Gratfon Street. This was our first visit to stay in The Shelbourne, and it did'nt disappoint. I would like to give a special mention to Niall, the Director of Food and Beverage. Niall thank you for making our stay so special. We had an amazing stay from start to finish. A seagull sat on our bedroom window on the first day when we arrived, just saying hello!
