We returned for our 1-year anniversary after staying here on our wedding night. We booked a package that included a complimentary upgrade, cocktails, and late checkout — none of which were properly delivered. The “upgrade” wasn’t available due to an entire floor being closed for works (something we weren’t told in advance), and the noise made it impossible to enjoy the late checkout. It felt misleading to advertise perks that were never realistically available. To add to the frustration, we later saw another package offering the same room plus dinner for less than what we paid, even though we dined at the restaurant anyway. We spent over €400 more for far less value. We raised this twice via email and received only generic responses, with no real effort to address the issue or offer anything meaningful in return. Very disappointing for a 5-star hotel — we expected better service and transparency. We won’t be returning.

Just checked in. Room I booked was not available. After an apology I have been given the only room available, which is a disability room. Regardless of room type the bathroom is 2 star at best and not the stay I thought I’d booked. Firstly, don’t take bookings if you can’t honour what guests have booked. Secondly, why are is the standard of a disability room so poor! Beware - this could happen to your booking!

My friend and I went for lunch today in the westbury and from start to finish it was a great experience. From the food to the service it was excellent. The gallery manager Eva and the staff looked after us with efficiency and friendliness. It was a memorable and wonderful experience in very pleasant surroundings. Highly recommend. Ann and Jane

The Westbury is a luxurious place, but don't mistake that for a place filled with pretentious guests or staff. Everything was perfect from the decorations, to the incredibly polite staff, the tasty food, and one of the most comfortable beds I think I have ever slept in. The location is supreme as it is right on Grafton Street, and there is so much to see and do. My wife and I arrived early, so our room was not quite ready yet. The staff gladly checked us in, stowed our bags, and encouraged us to explore the city. They said they would call when the room was ready for us. So, we explored the city. When it got closer to check-in time, we headed back to the reception desk, but decided to take a detour and have a drink in their beautiful lounge that confronts you as soon as you walk up the stairs. So glad we did. The couch was cozy, the drinks were great, and I finally felt like I was on vacation as I relaxed and sank into the cozy chair. As if the hotel knew we were wrapping up with our cocktails, we got a notification saying the room was ready. Later that night, we also popped in to The Sidecar, which is an art deco style bar that takes you back to the 1920's. It was a neat experience and I really enjoyed the Irish Coffee.

This was our second stay at the Westbury and I highly recommend. The rooms are beautiful and the staff is very attentive to your needs. It is a luxurious experience, complete with robes, slippers and turndown service. We also had a wonderful breakfast at Balfes that we thoroughly enjoyed. There is some construction going on right now but they are doing their best to manage it.
