Love love LOVED this hotel. Easily in my top 5 hotel stays of all time. The service is impeccable (at least two room services each day, and we never had to wait more than 2-3 minutes for a request). The complimentary breakfasts are lavish. Interiors are stylish and contemporary. The spa area downstairs is unbelievable -- we wiled away hours in the spa, moving between the sauna, steam room, and massive pool. The beach deck is so nice. I loved being able to take a dip in the ocean and come back up onto the deck without having to deal with sand. It made the ocean feel like a big swimming pool. Literally the *only* thing that needs improvement is the coffee situation. It would be nice to have something other than instant coffee in the rooms, but maybe instant coffee is the norm in Croatia (I'm not sure). That being said, they will make you a nice cappuccino at breakfast area. My wife and I will fondly remember Hotel Excelsior and will definitely be staying here again if we return to Dubrovnik.

Excellent hotel and service. The breakfast service is varied, tasty and the staff very friendly and professional particularly Patricia. I was introduced to a Kumquat fruit and loved it. The executive chef, Peter Obad, was so kind to give me two bags to take back to the UK🙏🏽. My solo trip was great as everyone made me feel welcome! Thank you, Excelsior team Oh, if you get the chance, do visit Bosnia to see the waterfalls at Kravice and to visit Mostar - all organised by the hotel. Smooth and enjoyable!

Excellent location with fantastic views across the old town and the islands. Wonderful hotel staff with notable mentions of Ivan (the Englishman) and Ivan Lucic in the Senses restaurant. The food was excellent as were the cocktails. Also big thanks you the young man in pool/sea area.

I've booked this trip, staying at Hotel Excelsior Dubrovnik. Then the pandemic happened. Twice. Wrote to AHL and asked if it was possible to hold the reservation. They were spectacular. Then begun my spine troubles. One surgery, a long time to recover, then the second surgery to insert a prosthesis and begin a walking process. All that time, we've been in contact and the Excelsior Hotel was kind enough to hold my reservation. Finnaly this April I was able to do my dream trip. The warmth, the kindness, the simpathy, let me lost for words. This hotel is everything you expect, but they go far and beyond to make you feel special. The views are stunning, the room was fantastic with Lokrum just at the balcony, the food is great and the people, everyone of them, but specily Ivana that put up with me for four years, were the most wonderousy amazing I ever met. I recomendo a bilion times. Thank you all. Till the next time.

My wife and I know this magnificent hotel well from previous visits, and so returned to once again enjoy its superb accommodation, restaurants and facilities, and its perfect location just a few minutes walk from the old city, over which it offers wonderfully scenic views. However, one of its greatest assets are its staff, whom we have always found to be amazingly helpful and informative, and for whom nothing is too much trouble. Unfortunately, soon after our arrival I suffered a medical emergency resulting in our unscheduled early departure. Through this very testing period the support and kindness provided by hotel staff, at all levels, was incredible, and is very much appreciated. So, we will return to complete our vacation at Hotel Excelsior as soon as possible. In the meantime our warmest thanks and appreciation to the staff for support and kindness that will never be forgotten.
