We would like to commend a couple of staff members who were outstanding: INOS from breakfast service, very kind and warm professional young lady from Argentina. Made us feel very special with care she showed and remembered us and our orders everyday despite the crowded service time. Thanks so much!! ANDREAS from spa gave us alot of time explaining different treatments that were on offer. Even though we didn't take up any treatments she continued to treat us warmly and with a beautiful smile each day we met. Thanks so much!@

Europcar at Dubrovnik airport in Croatia. I rented a car at Dubrovnik airport from Europcar and of course drove to Dubrovnik. The agency did not inform me that there is an area above the old city of Dubrovnik where a parking lot is, that you are not allowed to drive in. I did so to get to the parking lot. Months later I got a 2,000.00 US dollar fine for this. Europcar gets a copy of the every fine every rental car gets, as the car is rented from them. They see thousands and thousands of dollars of fines come through, so they are complicit in making sure Croatia gets money for fines, as most people are going to go direct from the airport to Dubrovnik. Europcar does not inform you of this area to protect you from the fines in the area. As I do not know Croatian I was not aware of this. I emailed them after and asked them to tell all of their customers. They emailed back that this is not their job and they will not do it. KNOW FOR YOURSELF TO ASK ABOUT THE AREA NOT TO DRIVE IN-From another agency, not Europcar. Save yourself. I have pages of emails from them blaming the drivers (renters who paid for their cars) while not telling them how to avoid the fine.

Situated about 1k from the old town getting to the sights is simple with a gentle downhill stroll or local busses available, the bus transport is free with the Dubrovnik pass. The hotel is very well kept we had a superior sea view room with a large balcony that got the morning sun and was well sheltered from any wind. The A/C was efficient and quiet and the large bed super comfy. The shower had the biggest head I had ever seen and had plenty of water pressure to give you a good soak. All the staff spoke excellent English and were very friendly and always happy to help. A large breakfast buffet had a wide variety food to suit all nationalities although I do need to ask for milk for my cereal. Drinks prices were not outrageous considering this is a 5 star hotel, similar to a good wine bar in the UK, €10 for a house while and €12.5 for a house red both excellent wines. The free pool tables provided some evening amusement and the piano player in the lobby bar set a lovely mood. All in all great value for money.

All i can say is wow. The hotel is just amazing with fantastic views all around the food in the hotel is such high quality I cant fault anything they do. The staff are on point all the time, so kind and patient and always make you feel at home and to make sure they give you the best experience possible. I know that you are currently going through refurbishment at the moment and people would think that its an issue but not for us we understand that this needs to be done to keep the hotel up to shape and for the safety for the guests. One more things we have been so so many countries stayed in so many places and had lovely staff but the staff you have here should be proud of what they are doing because you have an amazing team running this hotel dont change anyone because they are all just fantastic.

During our visit to Dubrovnik, we decided to stay at the Rixos Hotel. Even though we are from Dalmatia and often travel around the Mediterranean, we were extremely satisfied with the hotel. I will start the review with the first and most important thing – the staff of this hotel, who are truly world-class. We have experienced many places, but the kindness, dedication, and love for their work shown by all the young people working there made our stay pleasant and wonderful. There is really nothing more to add except that we will definitely visit the hotel again at the first opportunity, so we can once again enjoy the view, relaxation, and comfort that this hotel provides.
