21c Museum Hotel Durham

The showery had lukewarm water. The staff said we had to run the water for several minutes but it still remained lukewarm at best. Don’t feel right running water for 10 minutes or more just waiting. The room was cold. Heater never properly worked. The staff told us heat was motion sensitive. What happen when I fall asleep. Valet was confusing at night. Really one of the worst hotel experiences. Simply not worth it.

Attended a bat-mitzvah the other week that was beautiful and enjoyable! There was a young man in all black wearing a yarmulke over his braids (didn't catch his name) that saved the day several times! When the av didn't work, when the bar was missing something, when the lights need adjusting, everything. He even took time to escort my elderly aunt to the (very precurious here if you haven't tried) bathroom when she was lost. The bartender (think his name was darius) even took the time to hand-make more mix for a mocktail my daughter was LOVING, even after the bar ran out. 10/10 service from the event team at 21c!

This whole experience has been terrible. From booking spa appointments, to booking the room over the phone with hotel staff. Staff cannot confirm anything! I have never seen such a disorganized mess in my life at a hotel.

We spent 4 nights at the 21c Museum hotel.. This experience from beginning to end was exceptional- the folks at the front desk were helpful and polite and gave us some background on the art. The bed was very comfortable( I have a bad back so this matters). The service was what you would get at higher end hotels. The hotel is spotless, the room serviced everyday without asking , This hotel is an old bank with many sections such as the vault and the flooring preserved. Everyone from the valets to the front desk were polite and you can tell took pride in their job. The shower in room 612 was exceptional. We loved everything about this stay. If you like the Raddison go to a Raddison- if you want a truly unique experience, surrounded by art and excellent service, book this hotel!

Lovely hotel in the heart of Durham. Hotel was clean and comfortable. We were there for a family wedding and had a very nice stay.
