Overpriced and Disappointing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

My husband and I booked EHP for a two night stay as a kickstart to our road trip from the Hamptons to Boston. I spent just shy of £2,000 on a two night stay and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. We were put in Cottage 1 which is tiny. We’ve had hotel rooms bigger than this. The bedroom wasn’t big enough to fit both suit cases in around the bed so we had to have them in the hallway and risked tripping up every day The bathroom was also tiny with ants evident on the floor There was nothing to do at the resort until the evening when the Si Si restaurant opened. The “bakery” that’s open during the day had a few croissants and that’s it. It’s dead otherwise! Staff were friendly and it was clean but I’m very upset at how expensive this was for what we got. Will be in touch with the hotel direct about that as I feel we were hugely oversold this stay.

It's more of a marina

We had such an odd experience at this hotel. It is very cute. Location is isolated but that's not bad. Our bedroom did not have light blocking drapes so we woke with the sun. Bathroom is odd. Shower is small and short. Coffee supplies was an issue in that the supplies (pods) were scant. We loved the main restaurant.

Another nice stay

We stayed four nights in a Magari one BR king and were generally pleased. SiSi has weekend events and this makes parking very challenging for paying guests. This year they dropped the included breakfast. Our first night housekeeping occurred very late but the other days were fine. The pool was too warm and was over-chlorinated.

Decent

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed August 7, 2025

Overall, the experience was good. Not phenomenal, not bad, but good. Our cottage was nice and the complimentary morning boat ride was a delightful touch. The service was descent. My pain point was not receiving a few listed amenities, such as beach passes; apparently they are first come first serve, but when booking accommodations at the resort, it states this is an included amenity; no parameters listed & no mention that they do not have enough passes for all guests upon check in. This impacted our stay because we planned for the second day to be a full beach day. It really put a damper on the experience as we had to figure it out on our own. There were no alternative suggestions offered or options recommended from the front desk. It was truly a bummer. For the pool, there was no service that started at 10am. We tried to make up for a lost beach day and get to the pool the next day, hoping to be able to order while at the pool. It was listed for 10am for pool service to begin, but no one showed. It's important to provide what is listed & if this is not possible, guests should be notified.
