There are a lot of 5 star hotels in the United Kingdom, but I suspect that very few of them offer the same type of experience that you will find at the 100 Princes Street. This is not really a hotel, it is much more like a private club where every guest is treated like a close family member. The attention to detail throughout the residence is magnificent, the rooms are exceptionally comfortable with every modern convenience, and the food is great. What really sets this hotel apart from all the others, however, is the staff. Bright, energetic, kind and beyond helpful. Their motto is whatever you want, 24/7 and they most definately deliver on their promise. I would also very strongly recommend their whisky tasting experience with either Rory or Dario. If you like or would like to learn more about whisky, this will be the highlight of your trip to Scotland.

This boutique hotel provided us with a high level of personal service from the moment David greeted us at the door. The concierge - Alastair - even reached out to us before we arrived and eagerly accommodated our every request. Every staff member called us by name throughout our stay. Breakfast was served at low coffee tables in the lounge by Kate and her attentive colleagues. We felt like we were staying in the private club this building once was instead of a hotel. The location is in the newer section of town and we felt like we were living there instead of just visiting.

Fabulous staff. David, who man’s the front door, is the best hotel ambassador I have ever encountered. Bravo David!!! The rooms are quite small. Not a hotel for large people.

Where do I begin & why does it have to end for us! 100 Princes St is truly designed in all its glory for princes & princesses. The name is fitting. We were chauffeur driven from the airport to the boutique resident only hotel based bang smack in the city! Facing the majestical Edinburgh castle. The interior is the definition of 'attention to detail'. In fact, Google should use 100 Princes St as an example whilst explaining this terminology. What really makes this establishment shine is the staff. From bags being collected by David, the best door man I've ever encountered and manager Dermot. Both couldn't do more to make us feel special and welcoming. At reception, we met Alistair, who was most gracious & professional in his introduction. The rest of the staff were equally helpful ,Harry, Adam, Andrea to mention a few went above & beyond for us. If someone asked me to describe this extraordinary hotel by referring to a song, I would choose 'It’s Oh So Quiet' by Björk. Walking in from the streets, Hustle and bustle to absolute Zen! This is not a hotel. It's an experience beyond expectations in every aspect. This place HUGS you!. Much gratitude from your humble guests. Deborah & Sam Co.Kildare Ireland

Lovely experience! The service was amazing and the room was beautiful. The staff in the bar, reception and door were so friendly. The treats each evening were great. Do pay attention to the size of the room you choose. The single is very small and has no actual window, so that may not be what you’re looking for. The location is very central. Close to everything including the train and tram. The entrance is off the busy Princes street and next to tourists stores, so investigate what part of town you’re interested in staying in to make sure that is what you’re looking for.
