This boutique hotel is fabulous. The rooms are comfortable and luxurious. The breakfast and food are top quality. Staff always willing to help with anything. Their porridge with whisky is an absolute must. You will not be disappointed staying here.

Excellent Location. Great atmosphere. Booked a Junior Suite. Junior is correct definition as the room size was as small or smaller than a standard hotel room and overpacked with large furniture. Excellent Castle view. The bath was an elevated tub/shower which made it very difficult to enter and exit. Value was questionable for the price which includes extra charges. Superior cleanliness and appointments. Noise level as expected for urban location. Service 5 star. As mentioned in other reviews the dining situation leaves room for improvement. While the food was good low tables and sofa/chairs made the experience royal Service more suitable for an evening glass of wine or cocktail than for dining. I would return but the price point would need a adjustment.

We had the opportunity to stay at 100 Princes Street, Edinburgh recently on our trip to Scotland. The hotel is truly so beautiful - it has a true Scottish feel to it, making our arrival into Scotland so exciting. 100 Princes street is a smaller boutique hotel - which we really enjoyed. Our hotel room was very nice, though very small. This is to be expected in Europe though, so just be prepared, with that said, our room was beautiful. The walls were covered in tartan wool, and the bed...heavenly comfortable. The blinds are room darkening, which is so helpful with jet lag. Finishes in the room and bathroom were very high quality - so overall the room was excellent. Location of the hotel is awesome, makes everything walkable. When we looked out our bedroom window, Edinburgh castle was right in front of us!!! Beautiful. Also - since you are not on the Royal Mile, you do not have the tourist traffic. Again, great location to Old town and New. Now the best part of our hotel stay was the service. Everyone was extremely attentive, and gave EXCELLENT service, In particular was Hannah the concierge, she went above and beyond in her assistance. Well done to the staff at 100 Princes street! Thank you again for making our stay in Edinburgh so lovely.

Everything about the hotel is incredible. Location is great, within easy walking distance to the Royal Mile, yet away from the noise and crowds. Service was amazing, from being greeted at the door, front desk, help with luggage, housekeeping, restaurant, lounge, etc. Food was great, varied selections and the selection of whiskeys in the lounge is unparalleled. Again, just a fantastic stay
