Lovely staff really top class, Dermo was fantastic, courteous and had attention to detail fulfill all my requests. Can't recommend 100 Princes Street highly enough. Exquisite decor

Exceptional attention to detail, level of service unparalleled. There is really nothing for which than can provide help. Highly recommend. Tht said the rooms can be a bit snug and do not all have a bathtub, and there is a 20 pound service charge, but that also means you don't have to worry about carrying cash for tipping (to my understanding). Really just lovely overall.

We spent four nights at this heavenly hotel and I couldn't recommend it more highly. It is an oasis on a commercial street in the "new" part of town, close to the dividing line between the old and new. It faces a lovely park and it's an easy (if uphill) walk to old town and its many sights. We spent four nights and wished we could have stayed even longer. It's a small hotel, open only to its guests, so the service is ultra-personal and its distinguishing characteristic. While the hotel is beautiful and immaculate, the staff make it the special place that it is. From the dining room staff for breakfast and at least one dinner, to the doormen to the barkeeps to the managers, every individual was warm, friendly, helpful, highly professional and very knowledgeable. (I only wish I'd kept a list of everyone's names!) We had great conversations and helpful tips from all, including great walks, places to visit and of course bars and restaurants. After a long day of touring Edinburgh, a very lovely city, we felt as though we had a special oasis in which to relax and recharge for our next experience. We walked everywhere because it was so centrally located, and always looked forward to the comforts of our return. We stayed in a terrace "suite" which was lovely, and while still relatively small by US hotel standards, it was laid out well and gave us plenty of room to unpack and spread out. The only downside is that the terraces are at the back of the hotel, so there's no view of any kind, but it does make the space feel bigger and brighter. I believe some of the rooms, while beautifully decorated, are quite small, so check that out before committing to a category. We've had the good fortune to stay at many lovely hotels over the years, and 100 Princes is definitely one of the best ever.

We've stayed in our share of luxury hotels, from the big boys of Europe to the luxury boutiques, and 100 Princes is absolutely top 3 if not the best hotel we've ever stayed in. The hotel checks all the boxes that its peer luxury boutique hotels do, beautiful design and decor, excellent location, luxury amenities, wonderful little touches and treats, but what truly sets 100 Princes apart is the staff and service. We've never experienced such a level of personal care and genuine attention to our specific stay and needs. From the minute you walk in, you instantly know you are in good hands, everyone is beyond friendly and a few hours after check in it felt like the entire staff new our names. Two moments really stand out for us. We had dinner reservations which the staff was aware of (I honestly don't even remember tell them where but we must have) and we also had booked a whiskey tasting in the hotel before dinner. On our way out one morning the concierge stopped us and asked if we would mind if she called the restaurant to push our reservation (which was NOT easy to get) back 15 minutes so we wouldn't feel rushed at our tasting. Amazing. Second was the same night after dinner. We had tasted, learned about, and discussed whiskey a few times in the bar with Dario, the whiskey master. He knew it was our last night in Edinburgh and he waited for us after the bar was technically closed, assuming after his shift had ended, to serve us and regale us with a few special whiskies he had in mind to share with us. Just wonderful. Diarmaid was a pleasure and ready to help us with anything we needed and David out front was such a treat to speak to every time we left or returned to the hotel. If you have a chance to stay at this hotel, I hope this rave review helps convince you it will be worth it.

An overwhelmingly indulgent experience. Extraordinary staff who are all extremely capable and polite. They are all wonderfully well turned out and provide an outstanding level of hospitality. From entering for the first time to the moment of departure, the staff could not have been more gracious and accommodating. My wife and I have stayed a number of top class hotels in Edinburgh but 100 Princes Street outshines them all. If you are looking for a 5* hotel in Edinburgh you need look no further; you are in the right place and you will certainly not be disappointed. The next time we visit Edinburgh we will only have one hotel in mind.
