She let us know another member of the team would be down shortly to assist with check-in, giving us a chance to take in the beautifully designed lobby. It immediately felt elegant, intimate, and inviting—the perfect first impression. A few moments later, Anais came downstairs to personally welcome us and escorted us to the second floor for check-in. Rather than feeling like a routine hotel arrival, it felt like being welcomed into a private residence. Knowing we were celebrating our anniversary, she took the time to get to know us and thoughtfully shared recommendations for restaurants, attractions, and hidden gems throughout Edinburgh. Every recommendation turned out to be outstanding and made our trip even more memorable. It’s rare to encounter someone so genuinely invested in ensuring guests have an unforgettable experience. When we entered our room, we were absolutely blown away. Every detail was flawless. The room was immaculate, beautifully appointed, and so perfectly prepared that it honestly looked as though it had been staged for a magazine photo shoot. As a wonderful surprise, the team had also placed a beautiful chocolate anniversary cake in our room waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful gesture that immediately made us feel celebrated and demonstrated the level of personal care that defines 100 Princes Street. The craftsmanship, comfort, and attention to detail throughout the room reflected an uncompromising commitment to excellence. Each morning, breakfast was nothing short of spectacular. Without exaggeration, it was the finest hotel breakfast we’ve ever experienced. Every dish was beautifully presented, perfectly prepared, and consistently delicious. More importantly, the service elevated the experience even further. Anisha, Dario, and Andrea greeted us each morning with genuine hospitality and made us feel like valued guests rather than simply another table. They anticipated every need and ensured every breakfast was the perfect start to our day. On our second evening, we spent time enjoying several appetizers while exploring the hotel’s remarkable whisky collection. The selection is truly exceptional, and Will’s knowledge and passion made the tasting both educational and incredibly enjoyable. He guided us through the collection with enthusiasm, creating one of the highlights of our visit. Later in our stay, we enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea with Andrea, who made an already wonderful experience even more memorable through her warmth, attentiveness, and genuine kindness. Every detail was beautifully executed, making it one of the most enjoyable afternoon teas we’ve ever experienced. What impressed us most throughout our stay was the consistency. Every member of the team delivered the same impeccable level of service, professionalism, and heartfelt hospitality. Luxury hotels often promise exceptional experiences, but 100 Princes Street genuinely delivers on every promise. The attention to detail, personalized service, and pride each team member takes in their work are unlike anything we’ve encountered elsewhere. Even our departure reflected the same exceptional standard of hospitality we experienced throughout our stay. During checkout, Diarmaid took the time to ask about the next leg of our journey and graciously shared recommendations for our upcoming stay in Dublin. Rather than simply completing the checkout process, he genuinely wanted to help ensure the rest of our trip was just as memorable. I genuinely worry that 100 Princes Street has raised the bar so high that future hotel stays will inevitably be compared against it—and most will fall short. This was, without question, the finest hotel experience we’ve ever had. This hotel is absolutely extraordinary. Fantastic location and such a beautiful hotel. The interiors are exquisite and perfectly Scottish. Very high-end and luxurious. The only thing that exceeded the beauty of this hotel was a wonderful service provided by everyone there. The food was delicious as well. I would definitely go back to Edinburgh just to stay at this fabulous hotel. Also the views of the castle from the hotel with spectacular. Truly a special place.

To our delight, we were upgraded to a beautiful one-bedroom suite. The room was absolutely stunning, elegantly designed, spacious, and equipped with every comfort one could wish for. It truly felt like a luxurious home away from home. What truly sets 100 Princes Street apart is its people. The service is impeccable, warm, and genuinely personalized. Every member of the team made us feel welcome and valued, always anticipating our needs and going above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. Their knowledge of the hotel, the city, and Scottish hospitality was outstanding. Breakfast was excellent each morning, offering a varied selection of outstanding, high-quality dishes. We also thoroughly enjoyed speaking with the hotel’s whisky expert, whose passion and expertise made for a memorable experience. A very special thank you to Anaïs for the warm welcome at check-in, Jamie at the concierge and front door, who is an absolute gem, and Chris, Katie, and Andrea in the lounge and bar for their exceptional hospitality. I apologize that I cannot remember everyone’s names, as every single member of the team we encountered was equally friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and eager to make our stay unforgettable. The outstanding service was truly consistent throughout the hotel. Luxury is often defined by the little details, and 100 Princes Street gets every one of them right. The attention to detail, personalized service, beautiful accommodations, and genuine kindness of the staff make this one of the finest hotels we have ever stayed in. A perfect 10/10 in every respect. What an amazing journey!! The team at 100 Princes street was the best we have experienced. The food was excellent and the service was amazing. We had a unique emergency (broken ankle on an amzing hike on Arthur's seat) that everyone from the Concierge team to Housekeeping to the Restaurant team pitched in to help us every step of the way!!! A million thank you's to everyone at 100 Princes Street. We definitely will return and recommend to everyone 😃

The hotel acts like a private club as only residents are allowed to utilize the spaces. There is only one common area yet it’s beautifully appointed and very comfortable with excellent views of the Castle. The rooms was comfortable for being a double, though small with the bed being smaller still. The menu offerings are limited yet the quality of the food is good. The service throughout the hotel is superb and extremely attentive, from Housekeeping to Reception to Concierge to Dining staff. The wine/bar steward is extremely knowledgeable and ready to showcase their whiskey collection. Finally, the location could not be better as you have the proximity of George Street, Princes Street and the Royal Mile without all the gimmick and tourist laden hotels on or off High Street. Also the tram is a half block away and extremely good.
