100 Princes Street

From the moment we walked in the door, we were treated like royalty. We have been fortunate to stay in many 5-star hotels over the years, and 100 Princes Street is definitely in our top ten, maybe even top five. It's quiet, serene and welcoming. The staff was exceedingly helpful and always available. If personal security is a concern for you, look no further than this property. No one is allowed in unless they are a guest, including to the Wallace Restaurant which is reserved solely for guests. Both the common spaces and the rooms are impeccably clean. I can' t imagine staying anywhere else in Edinburgh. 100 Princes Street is a true gem!! We were sad to leave.

I have traveled the world and never seen anything by like this hotel in terms of service and opulence. To begin, it is for residents only no one else is allowed in. You are whisked to a lounge where they offered a welcome drink (anything you wanted). The. The receptionist took your information and you waited for your room if you wished to do so. Our room was beyond belief- a huge fresh bouquet of flowers, cookies and fruit awaited. The fireplace was turned on. Everything in the room and minibar is free. The room what spotless and beautifully appointed. This is like nothing I have ever experienced and I have stayed at more 5 star hotels than I can count. Wow. The only negative is that cars cannot stop in front of the hotel so a bellman meets you around the corner. My new hotel for Edinburgh, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else.

100 Princes Street hotel staff welcomed us with outstanding hospitality. We felt we were being invited into their home, and treated like honored guests. Over our stay, staff I had not met greeted me by name in the hallway; it was a pleasure to get to know everyone. Meals were perfectly prepared, pleasingly plated, and impeccably served with great attention and anticipating our whims before we asked; Dario's knowledge of whisky is not only extensive, it's infectious. Our room was well-appointed and we had a view of Edinburgh Castle. The hotel's location at, yes, 100 Princes St. is in the middle of a great part of the city, bustling with activity and a reasonable walk to the Waverly train station. But the doorman and concierge staff ensure the world is kept at bay, that the hotel remains a quiet oasis in the city. I can't praised the staff highly enough. We are already planning our return next year.

Like its sister Hotel 41 in London, 100 Princes Street does not disappoint. It is so well appointed and staffed by an exceptional team who really get to know you and welcome you -- especially on return visits -- like family. I love the decor the views of the Edinburgh Castle right across the street. It is amazing to gaze out of my. window and look at 1000 years of history! When we go to Edinburgh this is the hotel for us. The team, I just can't say enough about. They help make the stay magical like the city of Edinburgh. I can't wait to get back to Scotland and our favorite hotel. You cannot beat the location! Amazing people, amazing hotel.

Exceptionally personalized service. Very intimate and well appointed hotel. The hotel experience alone was worth the trip to Edinburgh. Terrific location with great views of Edinburgh Castle. We can’t wait to go back.
