We stayed at 100 Princes Street twice on our trip, since we started and ended our 2026 Scotland trip in Edinburgh: the first few days after arriving and the last few days before leaving. We stayed in different rooms: a smaller castle-view room the first time and a larger room with balcony at the end. The hotel was recently opened and is an historic building in the heat of Edinburgh which was heavily renovated to become the hotel. The decor is very plush and stylish, with a strong Scottish theme, but with some leftovers from the building's prior use as the Royal Overseas League club. It has updated amenities, wiring etc., and the bathrooms have heated floors. The beds are extremely comfortable, bathroom and shower facilities excellent. Service is excellent, friendly, and efficient. Our room was always serviced by the time we had finished breakfast and turned down promptly in the evening whenever we were out. Breakfasts are nice in a lovely room with windows looking across to the castle, giving nice views. It is easily accessible from the airport and it is perfecty located for exploring the city. It is a short walk from the Royal Mile and the castle to the south or the botanical gardens to the north. We also walked to and from Holyrood House Palace and Holyrood Park. This is an outstanding hotel, extremely well run and immaculate. We would gladly stay here again when in Edinburgh. It is expensive, but you get what you pay for here.

I travel frequently, and 100 Princess Street is now one of my favorite hotels. The decor was fantastic. You could feel the detail and care that went into the design. But most of all, the staff was wonderful. Everyone was kind, thoughtful, and attentive to our needs. The environment was warm and cozy. I loved taking breakfast in the upstairs lounge.

Fabulous boutique hotel with an old world, clubby atmosphere in an incredibly convenient section of Edinburgh. The room was beautifully appointed and luxuriously comfortable. The staff was extremely attentive, friendly and accommodating. We would highly recommend it!
