Currently here on the last night of our three night stay stay. I booked The Bonham for a three night stay. We are a group of four and we had two rooms. I booked directly with the hotel. I booked a signature suite for myself and my wife and our friends had a townhouse double. Upon arrival, although we arrived before the check in time, both rooms were ready and we were able to drop our luggage and head off to explore Edinburgh. Check-in was very smooth, professional and friendly. The hotel is ideally situated and offers calm and quiet surroundings, yet still only a short walk from Princes Street. We stayed in the Melville Suite, the other signature suite is The Rothesay. The Melville has the large bedroom with an ensuite with a large bath that has a shower above, and a smaller lounge area. The Rothesay has the large lounge but smaller bedroom, and has a bathroom with a walk in shower. So it depends what you prefer, for us the large bedroom was perfect as was the large free standing bath. The toiletries smell great, and you can buy a bottle for £20. The whole hotel smells lovely, as they have plug in diffusers which fill the lobby and communal areas with a pleasant aroma. I booked bed and breakfast, and I have to say the breakfast food and service were perfect, excellent choice of both hot and cold foods and the fresh orange juice was probably the best I've had. The quality of decor and fittings and the overall ambience are worthy of it's five star standing and I feel The Bonham offers excellent value for money, nothing was too much trouble for the staff, requests for extra milk for example were dealt with promptly and efficiently. We were fortunate enough to be here whilst the Christmas decorations were set up in the hotel and our suite had a tree lit up when we returned back this evening. Lovely touch. Signature suites get extra treats included and also include glenmorangie whisky. Obviously there's cheaper hotel options available in Edinburgh but if you want a quality boutique hotel in a great location I think you'll be hard pressed to find better. I've seen the cheapest room type available and stayed in the most expensive and both are very good, our friends were very happy with their double room. Ample wardrobe space as well as a safe, an iron and hairdryer are included, as is a room fan for those hot Edinburgh days😄 We arrived by train, but if you have driven, there is onsite parking available. I'd definitely stay at The Bonham Hotel again and would recommend to others. Thanks to all staff for a great stay.

A beautiful hotel in a very quiet spot but within walking distance to the tram system, shops and restaurants. Welcome and reception staff warm and friendly and very professional. Lovely areas to sit and relax in. Very comfortable. Ate in the bar a couple of times and food is good. Breakfast offerings are varied and we loved the Bloody Mary and Prosecco offering! Breakfast cooking quality varies and I think a meatier sausage would be good. Waitress(with lovely auburn hair) helped us with transport questions which we really appreciated and she took time to briefly chat as she served us. That was nice. Some staff not very accurate with orders and requests at bar and at breakfast. This could improve. We found the bed and pillows really hard and whilst a topper and new pillows were provided it wasn’t quite right and affected sleep. It wouldn’t stop us staying again but we would call ahead next time to try to sort that out properly. A shower over the bath was unexpected. Hoped for a walk in. Very clean everywhere and housekeeping was good. Notwithstanding the few negatives, this is a really good hotel and we would highly recommend it.

Stayed at the beautifully restored Bonham for the second time and it did not disappoint. The hotel is well situated in a quiet west end terrace but still within walking distance to centre and only a stones throw to Dean Village and Stockbridge (which are both worth a visit). Our room was a Standard but was luxurious, comfortable and had everything you needed. Breakfast was excellent both mornings with a good selection and all to a very high standard. The staff were polite, attentive and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. This standard does not come cheap but with most hotels in The Capital being expensive I’d chose to spend my money on The Bonham for the quality, service and location. We’ll definitely be back and hopefully soon.

Wonderful spot and hotel, rooms nicely finished, too warm and an over the bath shower for a deluxe room!
