Important - The Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian has recently been renamed to The Caledonian Edinburgh, Curio Collection by Hilton. The Caledonian Edinburgh is currently undergoing renovation expected to be completed early 2025. The transformation of the hotel is already well underway and is taking place over a phased approach to ensure we can continue to operate as business as usual.
The Caledonian Edinburgh is one of Edinburgh's most significant and recognizable landmarks. Standing proudly at the west end of Princes Street, the heart of the capital, its reputation for style and excellence has attracted generations of locals, international visitors and notable personalities for over one hundred years. Built in 1903 and formerly part of the grand Caledonian Railway, the hotel is full of memories, including Peacock Alley which represents the historic heart, once the station concourse and ticket office. Surround yourself with heritage and over 100 years of hospitality, and become part of our story.

Thank you to Nitin and his team at the Caledonian. I had a wonderful evening there catching up with university friends. The atmosphere was relaxed yet with a real sense of occasion. The attention to detail throughout the evening really stood out, from the food to the service. A special mention to Lukasz and Lucy, who looked after us brilliantly and made us feel so welcome. We then enjoyed some truly special cocktails at the Caley Bar, where Asha and Ellie were fantastic. My cocktail recommendations are the coconut Massaman with its spherical ice cube and the Ceviche for a savoury treat. A really memorable evening with great company, food, drinks and service. We’ll definitely be back!

We visited the Speakeasy Bar at The Caledonian Hotel for a midweek drink and had such a lovely experience. The staff were all incredibly friendly and welcoming, and a special mention to Christopher, who was great fun and really helpful when we were choosing our drinks. The hotel is in such a fantastic location for exploring Edinburgh, and the Speakeasy has a lovely atmosphere that would suit pretty much any occasion — whether it’s a casual drink, date night or a special celebration. We had a great time and will definitely be back!

Or first time to Edinburgh and this hotel was the perfect location for us to get out and explore the city. It was also very close to a car rental location for our excursions around the countryside. We are so grateful for the help of the staff there in helping us fill in some of the “blanks” in our time there. The restaurant was lovely for a dinner as well. I would go back again to this lovely hotel

What a great hotel. It has been refurbished to such a high standard, maintaining the all charm of it history. We received a complimentary upgrade and our room was huge! The highlights for us were the cafe bar in the old railway concourse and the cocktail bar in the evening. We look forward to our next stay in February.

We had a fantastic afternoon tea at The Caley and was taken care by the lovely Lucy and Lukasz. Thanks again and we'll be back to try the recommended cocktails for the Caley Bar very soon!
