About the Hotel
Important - The Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh – The Caledonian has recently been renamed to The Caledonian Edinburgh, Curio Collection by Hilton. The Caledonian Edinburgh is currently undergoing renovation expected to be completed early 2025. The transformation of the hotel is already well underway and is taking place over a phased approach to ensure we can continue to operate as business as usual.
The Caledonian Edinburgh is one of Edinburgh's most significant and recognizable landmarks. Amazing Atmosphere, Fantastic Food!
Fantastic cocktails and atmosphere in the Cali Bar! Then we had an amazing dinner in The Court, where the architecture and decor is stunning and the food matches! GET THE STICKY TOFFEE SOUFFLÉ!

My favorite hotel in Edinburgh
I've stayed at many hotels in Edinburgh, but this is most definitely my favorite!! My room was enormous and decorated with such luxury. I enjoyed a relaxing massage at the spa, and ate at the restaurant during my stay. The location is wonderful for exploring all of Edinburgh's neighborhoods. I would definitely stay there again!

Perfect stay in Edinburgh!
We had a fantastic 4 night stay at the Caladonian. The room was great and very large. The bathroom was modern and a great size. We had a view of the castle and the room was very quite. Breakfast was delicious with many options. the lobby restaurant was great and there was a nice bar. All the employees were very, very nice. I would recommend this hotel without hesitation. A very short walk to all the major sights and nice restaurants are within close walking distance.

NOT GOOD.
Hotel did not meet our expectations. Room was not clean. Walls were dirty. Air vents were filled with dust. Linens and towels old and worn. Rug was worn and tattered. Did not receive any amenities until third night in to a five night stay. Asked for wake up call that was not received, which had us running late for the day’s appointments. The reason I selected three and not one star is due to its great location and staff’s friendly attitude. Breakfast was ok. Coffee served warm at best. Will look for any another option when next in Scotland.
