Pearl Anniversary Stay

Back after 30 years for our wedding anniversary, lovely upgrade to a suite for our celebration. Housekeeping did a brilliant job preparing our room. The room was perfect, very clean and throughout the stay the noise level was very quiet so it felt like it was just the two of us. Breakfast, although we had the buffet style which suited us the staff offered a complimentary upgrade to a la carte as it was our special day. We did participate in the Prosecco with the staff congratulating us as they served us. Over all a lovely stay with the all the staff making it a truly unforgettable experience in our favourite hotel making i

A fanastic, but pricey, place to stay in Edinburgh

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Located near Princes Street Gardens and easy walking distance to Grassmarket and the Castle, the Caledonian was a perfect place to stay. The food and drinks were excellent, and there were a variety of places to have a drink or eat. The rooms were very comfortable, the hotel was clean and the details lovely, the service was fantastic, and the spa was very relaxing. It is a pricier stay, but I would highly suggest staying here if you only here for a few nights.

Wonderful stay at The Caledonian

I booked this hotel for me and my 7 year old daughter, for our girls weekend in Edinburgh and we cannot wait to come back! We received the warmest welcome from George the doorman as soon as we stepped out from our taxi. We instantly warmed to him. So friendly, helpful, and funny. We didn’t get to say goodbye but thank you for making our stay so memorable. Every time we walked back through the hotel doors from a busy day exploring the City we instantly felt safe and relaxed and couldn’t wait to get back to our beautiful hotel room, which had a view of the Castle. The bed was very comfortable. Hilton for me, have the best breakfast to offer, so that was a treat each morning and something we looked forward to! We also had room service one evening as we were both too tired to go out and it was lovely. The Hotel is an excellent location for sightseeing and shopping. We didn’t get to experience the pool and spa but hope to on our next visit. Thank you!

The Caley-keeping us proud of Edinburgh

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

I’ve stayed when this was a Waldorf many years ago so wasn’t sure what the changes were but this hotel is fab. The staff are all so friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We only stayed one night in a family room as a treat to hang out with our nephew. The room was perfect for us and my nephew was impressed saying it was the largest hotel he’d ever been in! We used the pool in the morning and had it all to ourselves, great facilities and good idea to have kids times for use. We also had breakfast even though it was in our booking we decided to add it on and we were not disappointed, absolutely delicious. My husband and I are hoping we can come back as a couple and check out the restaurant and bar as both looked beautiful. Well done Caley…smashing it for Edinburgh.
