Myself and my wife came to this hotel and although we were put off by the stairs and having no lift we forget this because we had an exceptional young lady Demi who carried all our luggage she also explained everything we needed to know and made us feel completely safe we actually thought this lady owned the hotel but she is the receptionist we wish we had receptionists in the states like this we have never in our 53 years had this service and Demi can stay at our house when she visits the states

This is such a beautiful hotel in the heart of Stockbridge. The rooms have such character and the staff is helpful and friendly. Demi was especially helpful throughout our stay. She made us feel at home and oriented us to our room and the area. We highly recommend Nira Caledonia.

We were rather shocked by the size of the rooms. Very small. The beds were another shock: double sized. The bathroom was very hard to maneuver in. Very small. We were two 75+ couples. We all had to carry our suitcases up 2 or 3 flights of stairs. We were disappointed the location of the hotel. We had to take Ubers most everywhere we went. The staff was outstanding. Demi, especially, couldn’t have been more helpful.

Demi is the greatest receptionist I have had on this trip. She is the greatest receptionist!

This is a lovely, quiet, boutique hotel but very accessible to the Royal Mile, local transportation. The building was built in 1826 so the rooms are small but well appointed. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.
