Hi just back from a one night stay with my daughter, from start to finish the service from all members of staff was first class, nothing was a problem. The facilities are excellent with the spa, jacuzzi and swimming pool. Also provided are robes and slippers. The rooms were spacious and immaculate providing all necessary toiletries. The food at the restaurant was excellent and well catered for all your needs. I will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Writing this review before we even finished our stay. After spending a week across various locations in Edinburgh Norton house tops takes the cake! With incredible value for money I cannot recommend this hotel and spa enough. From complimentary hospitalities to added extras the team went above and beyond to make our stay one to remember. This stay would not have been complete without the endeavours of Emily and Laura.

Just back from spa break, excellent service, delicious food, well equipped room - faultless really. Staff really made it though, thanks to all - I can name Holly and Muir in the restaurant, David on the door, Roisin and Claire in the spa because I noted their names but to be honest everyone went above and beyond. I’m pretty critical of Edinburgh hotels as so often they’re expensive and mediocre but this place is exceptional value by comparison and would recommend staying here and getting the tram into town. So many thoughtful details for my Mum’s birthday. The portions at the Brasserie are huge so consider sharing man course if having steak or fish and chips so you have space for the delicious desserts (recommend the passion fruit soufflé), halibut was incredible. Thanks all, a much needed January pick me up!

Just had a two night break and stayed in a superior room with balcony , well worth upgrading . Lovely comfy room , well serviced and very clean , staff here are welcoming and friendly . Highlight for me was the spa , really good and can get in and out when you want . Superb stay . Will look foward to my next stay . Thank you Norton house 👍✅️👌

Was very underwhelmed by this hotel. Expected so much more and better for the price paid, over £600 for two nights. Classic room was clean and adequate. Bathroom tired. Shower over bath leaked water over floor due to poor fitting shower screen. Toiletries fixed to wall and only dispense a minuscule amount each time. Advised at check in at 3pm that Spa and pool were now closed for the day. Would have been helpful if this information was highlighted during booking process as access to these facilities was a major factor in choosing this hotel. Lounge bar area underwhelming, drinks prices high then an additional 12.5% service charge was excessive. Bar staff all friendly and attentive. Brasserie restaurant serving staff pleasant but service is slow. Limited menu, food good. Breakfast nothing special. Menu is misleading and ordering discouraged because of long wait for items from kitchen. Buffet choice looked good but all items were lukewarm. No option to have freshly cooked egg and eggs on buffet were undercooked and cold. Bacon was poor quality, covered in white scum and badly cooked. Overall was expecting much better considering price point. The additional service charge is excessive and irritating. Would not recommend and would not return.
