Lovely wee-end at Edinburgh.

Wonderful stay at the roseate estate. The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The main building and the house are so beautifully decorated. We slept very well as the bedding was excellent. Would go again there :)

Great little hotel

Quiet little place just outside the city center. Staff were tremendous and rooms quite comfortable. Food at the restaurant was remarkably elegant and delicious.

Really Lovely Hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Really lovely hotel with a nice restaurant and great staff. The rooms are sweet with all the amenities needed...fridge, iron, safe, coffee/tea and shortbread! Although it's a bit from the city center, it is conviently right on the tram line. We ate at the charming (little) restaurant for breakfast one day. Good food, though the waitstaff seemed a bit confused. Would definitely stay here again.

Welcoming staff and peaceful location

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

Overall a lovely stay at The Roseate. We booked a superior in the house, initially it felt like a very small room but on checking the website again, it was as described. There wasn't much space to put a suitcase or to unpack any clothes and also no fridge. The room was clean, well decorated, quiet and comfortable though. I have intolerances and there wasn't much provision at breakfast for me but my partner really enjoyed his. They were clear on what was and wasnt safe for me to eat which is better than most places. The quality of the food was excellent as was the service. The staff were extremely welcoming, warm and accommodating - probably the best part of our stay. We did have a welcome cocktail included in our booking which we weren't offered but I am sure if I had queried this it would have been provided. The location of the hotel is very convenient, about 10 mins walk from Haymarket station and plenty of regular buses to and from the hotel into the city centre. Would definitely stay here again.
