Reviews for The Roseate Edinburgh

Fabulous hotel stay.

This was such a special experience, loved everything about this hotel. I was in the Executive Room at the top of the stairs, with a beautiful view and a working telescope. The bathroom was down a few steps, very well-appointed, with shower and a bath and lovely toiletries. The shortbread (topped up daily) was delicious and the hot chocolate very welcome. The staff were so friendly and professional and I loved chatting to them over my drink/dinner. The lamb I had for my one dinner in the hotel was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. I loved the Secret Garden gin- wish it was available at home. All in all, this was a real treat and one I will remember forever.

A rose indeed

Gorgeous and luxurious and top notch service. We stayed in two rooms in Annex building and didn’t mind walking over for the bar or breakfast The neighborhood does smell of the distillery (brewery smell of wheat and barley or something- pretty strong smell and not pleasant really) the building and room were fragranced with nice smells but a bit overpowering for my personal taste. The fan was great. Breakfast was delicious and the evening drinks in the main dining were enjoyable and relaxing with good soft music

Wonderful stay near to the city center

Wonderful house with really comfortable rooms! I loved how pleasant and helpful the stuff was, especially Joseph and Aidan (also the other guys and girls I forgot the names). Breakfast, dinner and afternoon tea were delicious and it was a great surprise that Roseate offered everything in a really tasty glutenfree option! We well definitely come back, thank you!

Very Old

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

I am a huge fan of a small boutique hotel which is why I chose this for our last night in Edinburgh. I feel I need to write this review because you need to be aware that it is a very old hotel and does even have a scent of old everywhere. The room we were in was a bit dark and depressing to be frank. I wanted to love it but need to be up front about my take away.

Best Hotel in Edinburgh!

Wow, wow, wow! It was such a great experience from the moment you arrive at the hotel. It is such an elegant and stunning property inside and out. The staff could not be any nicer and we will definitely be back! The food was delicious, the rooms are clean and beautifully designed and the bartenders are the best in the city.
