Great location. Excellent breakfast included. Lovely staff who are very helpful and friendly. King bed is a true USA king. Very hard to find in UK. Bed would be great for larger travelers who need a real King bed. So many beds in Europe are smaller than we are use to. HVAC works perfectly. True central heat and air. Hôtel is diligently non smoking. On site eating is quite good. Also tons of places to eat steps away from hotel. Elevators are multiple and work exceedingly well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Edinburgh and would gladly stay here again.

Do not stay here, the scaffolding is a disgrace and no sign of it being removed. The Royal mile is scared by the whole hotel.

I was unable to visit this hotel (due to a change of circumstances) and the front desk did their best to help to move the dates out. I was advised to message the manager and, to date, I’ve had zero response. I wanted to change my travel dates to my birthday weekend and the central team have been hard to deal with - one instance they called me while I was driving to work (I told them this through my car hands free) and they kept asking me to confirm my reservation number which I was as unable to do without killing myself on the motorway. They told me to call them back when I got home - by which point they were closed. I’ve stayed here before and it’s honestly a lovely hotel in a great location however this score is purely based on my recent experience with the manager’s lack of response plus the effort required to deal with the central office.

I went to the Sleeping Beauty Spa with a group of friends for a celebratory hen day. We had a great time using the pool and sauna (the steam room was out of use) and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful and patient with such a big group! Special thanks to Meredith who provided my treatment, it’s rare to find a therapist with a sense of humour and she made my experience even better, thank you!

This hotel was a disappointment. It is old and tired with the front of house and bar staff barely making an effort. The tubs are dangerously high from the floor and two of our party experienced near falls despite using two points of contact exiting post shower. I have lovely bruises to show for my stay. The halls smelled musty. The breakfast was painfully mediocre. We previously stayed at the Radisson in London, which was amazing. I will most likely choose other hotels for my future holidays.
