Prime spot luxury stay in Edinburgh

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 7 hours ago

Lovely stay in a perfect location in Edinburgh. Our family of 4 loved our stay and all the luxury that came with it. We enjoyed the robes and slippers along with the room service on our first evening as we were tired from our international trip. We were perfectly located to be able to walk to all attractions and restaurants in the city. The staff was lovely and very helpful with every request. You can’t go wrong staying at the Scotsman!

The Scotsman Hotel was phenomenal!

Our stay at the Scotsman Hotel was fabulous! First off, the location of the hotel itself was very convenient to both Waverley train station and the Royal Mile. Secondly, the rooms were beautifully adorned and were accessible for those with mobility challenges. Lastly, the staff were so great!I especially want to thank Ivor and Paulina for the extra care they gave our group. They both absolutely went above and beyond the call of duty and will be remembered by our family for years to come!

This hotel was absolutely wonderful but you will not find a better staff anywhere! We were treated like royalty and all of our needs were taken care of very well! Paulina & Ivor were just a couple of their outstanding staff! They went above and beyond with everything they did for us!

Best Hotel and Staff in Edinburgh

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 days ago

I originally booked our rooms because of the location and proximity to the train station. My mother and father have mobility issues and The Scotsman has lifts and a ramp into the hotel. But what made this hotel stay absolutely amazing was the staff. Paulina and Ivor were exceptional. They took extra care with my parents, ensuring that they would be comfortable. The concierge staff sought to get us dinner reservations, tour reservations and transportation. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and had beautiful views. This stay was worth every penny.

Disappointed

First time visit to the grand cafe. The French onion soup cost £11.50 and was not worth it. The stock was tasteless and onions were not soft and sweet. Have been in grand cafes throughout Europe this one is not worth a visit.
