Lovely hotel
I was only here for one night but what a lovely stay. The room was spacious and all staff were polite, professional and friendly. We also ate lunch in the cafe which was lovely. We will return!

Generally good!
We were welcomed well when we checked in for a 3 night stay. Our room was comfortable and had a good view towards the Scott monument. however, it was strangely arranged. The wardrobe was tiny and mostly taken up by an ironing board and dressing gowns. We used the ‘breakfast area’ For clothes and it was a bit odd. TV OK. Clock radio woke as at 6am - presumably previous occupants - surely that should be reset! And finally. Again a small point but all the small points add up - our toilet roll was cleared away but not replenished. Guessing the person just forgot. BUT huge thanks to the bar staff - we loved the bar and attention given! It was the small points that dropped this hotel from a 5 star review

Great Hotel
This is a great hotel with great staff. It is in the city center, so there is street noise throughout the night. We would definitely stay here again.

The best place to stay in Edinburgh!
What a fantastic weekend! Our visit to the Scotsman was such a wonderful experience, I can’t thank Kirsty the Assistant Manager for her hospitality and kindness. She and her team ensured we had a lovely weekend and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend a stay at this beautiful hotel, the rooms were delightful and cleaned every day. I will definitely visit the Scotsman again when I next visit Edinburgh, it is located just off of the Royal Mile and couldn’t be better placed. Thank you so much again Kirsty it was an absolute pleasure to meet you and stay in your beautiful hotel.
