Just returned from a fabulous stay at the Sheraton Grand. Went with a friend for a little girls trip. We had booked one of the signature rooms with the access to the lounge. On arrival we were immediately greeted by a member of staff who took our luggage from our taxi and walked us to reception, such a lovely warm welcome. We actually arrived early around 11am so expected to leave luggage and head out but our room was actually ready straight away which was a lovely suprise so we headed straight up to drop our luggage in. We had a twin room with castle view and it was perfect, big comfy beds, soft fluffy robes, immaculate clean, lovely bathroom and plenty of space for 2 women getting ready. After we had spent a day out and about in Edinburgh we stopped into the lounge on our way back to our room, had a lovely glass of wine and enjoyed some of the complimentary buffet items. We had booked the twilight spa in the hotel for the evening so got into our robes and headed there. Lovely relaxed experience, not over crowded and we loved the rooftop pool area the best. Perfect to unwind. When we got back to our room there was a lovely card and cake left for my friend who was celebrating her birthday, a really nice touch. We slept incredibly well, slightly too soft pillows but aside from that it was perfect. The following morning we had our breakfast in the lounge again and what a lovely experience, so chilled, no fight for seats, just endless space and peace. As 2 mums who left their kids at home for a night it was a real treat :-) Also the choice in breakfast was really good, particularly loved the porridge and the haggis and thanks to the way its served in skillet type pans it meant it all remained perfectly hot. Can honestly say from the moment we arrived to the second we left we felt like we had a 5 star experience. I am aiming to return with my family in a couple of months and will opt for the signature room again as the lounge area was so worthit and my daughter will absolutely love the big swimming pool. Fabulous staff, fabulous hotel. Perfection

Wonderful hotel located close to many attractions, restaurants and pubs. A short walk to the Royal Mile and the Edinburgh Castle. This is a modern hotel which offers many amenities and a great breakfast. My room was modern, well appointed and very clean. Highly recommended.

Beautiful room but service was less than expected. Food and location were great. Service could use improvement.

Fantastic hotel. The staff is all amazing and took wonderful care of us. The Concierge Desk was extremely helpful. We called ahead before we arrived and they made dinner reservations for us at the 1925 Restaurant based on our preferences.
